Great fast cheap meal. Well worth the price.

Very tasty, delicious chips and salsa with queso dip. Good generous drinks. Food was well worth the price. Good stop if you're looking to get a fast bite to eat that fall somewhere in the middle between gourmet and fast food.

My hubby, 3 teens and I were staying at the Super 8 motel for an overnight stay. South of the Border restaurant was right next door. Aesthetically, the place looked nice with outdoor seating on a deck and small amount of parking in front of the building. Inside there is a small bar and seating...ample seating for large parties. The... More

Whenever we feel like authentic Mexican food , we head to South of the Border. They have generous margaritas - the 26 ounce is perfect for sharing! We enjoy the combo platters- you can tell the ingredients are all fresh and made to order! The service is always outstanding and its a great relaxing atmosphere! Very reasonable prices, too- you... My whole family loved this place and their food was exceptional. I am very picky and have left more negative reviews than positive reviews. The food was exceptional. The fajitas were one of the best plates I have had ever. The food was served quickly and with a smile. From my experience, I do not understand any of the negative... More

I ate dinner with eight friends. Portions were large, most took away food boxes. Most of the folks had vegetable fajitas which looked greasy, but they were hot and sizzling and served with appropriate sides of guacamole, rice, and beans. I ordered the vegetable quesadilla which came with sides of rice and beans. Stuffing of quesadilla had the same greasy... More

The restaurant seemed busy when we arrived, but we were taken to a table right away. The servers rush around with a great sense of urgency, but it seemed to take a while for the food to get to the table. When the the food did arrive, it was just okay. Not bad! Just okay. The food is definitely hot... More

My husband and I ate here tonight. I ordered a chicken and cheese quesadia. My husband had the Burrito Grande. I was suppose to get shredded chicken and cheese inside tortilla. I recieved a folded tortilla with big chuncks of chicken and a tiny dab of cheese on one corner. It was very dry and tasteless. The salsa with chips... More

There are several Mexican places to eat.But as a local we find to enjoy the family run South of the Boarder our favorite. The #1 starter is absolutely wonderful. I usually get either the shrimp quesadilla or the Texas fajitas .There Salsa for the chips it is out of this world

we went there today for lunch and the owner of the restaurant was our server. When we first walked in the owner directed us to a table without even greeting us to the restaurant. We sat down and waited about 15 minutes for someone to take our drink order. Our food arrived and my taco were ok. My wife had... More
