Dining in the Downtown area of Williamsburg

Just shopping in the downtown area, taking a break from the Revolutionary City, and came across Blue Talon. It had been recommended by a friend before we left, so we though we would try it. We were there during an off time, so my only complaint is a little understandable. Between lunch and dinner... read more

This remains a preferred place to eat with locals. Because it is in the heart of the pedestrian area of Colonial Williamsburg, it is also attractive to tourists. There is limited outside seating in back. The menu is varied, and always has nice vegetarian options. The salads are exceptional and they have a nice wine selection. We enjoy both lunches... More

Our Family trip to downtown led us to find a parking place convenient to the Blue Talon Bistro, we walked the Saturday Market in the nearby streets. The group seem to be determined to find a better option, but we headed back here. Not a bit sorry either, the Waitress was wonderful, so warm and full of Southern charm. The... More

Pork chop was delicious and service was good...a bit pricey for me. The seafood dish my wife had disappointed her.

Using the Trip Advisor for recommendations normally works out for the best however I was not overly impressed with the food and most certainly not our waitress. We went there on a Sunday morning looking for a great meal to fuel us for the day. Getting seated right away was no problem. We arrived at 10am and hardly anyone was... More

Had the open face beef sandwich for lunch. Didn't expect it to be served in a bowl with broth. Very soggy as a result. Extremely bland and tasteless food. Maybe this is what colonial food is supposed to taste like, but it was not my preference. Service was very good. Atmosphere for lunch was average. Might be better in the... More

Every one in our group enjoyed his or her entree. The menu offered a wide variety of options including sweetbreads! There was something for everyone, all well prepared. The service was excellent.

I was disappointed in Blue Talon the last couple of visits. I love the style. Like the menu. Breat is terrific. However, what ever has happened it is just a bit off since we first started trying the bistro over 2 years ago. The restaurant style reminds me of something you'd find in Nantucket. Great style. Innovative menu. Not ordinary!... More

Food was amazing. Service was great! Mac n cheese may have been best ever! Champagne salad dressing was very good.
