We were looking forward to a great meal based on the reviews we read and the visit to the website. Sadly, this resturant does not even come close to living up to its reputation. The shrimp medallions had no taste except for salt. The fried oysters arrived on a beautiful plate, but were cooked unevenly, some were even cold, and... More

This quaint bistro is in downtown historic Williamsburg. Cozy atmosphere. Excellent service (Thanks, Michelle!). Very friendly and helpful staff. Good wine selection and a diverse menu, you are sure to find something you'll love! We had the goat cheese and leek tart to start with. Entrees of the duck and salmon, and then dessert! Chocolate mousse and much more! It... More

The restaurant is in the historic part of Williamsburg and my daughter had visited it before and loved it. We were there at noon on Sunday and were seated right away. We each ordered something different: vegetable pie, chicken crepes, meatloaf, fish Reuben. The bread on the fish Reuben was overdone making it too hard to eat, but the flavor... More

We returned to dine at the Blue Talon yesterday evening (Tuesday the 12th), and were looking forward to the Mac & Cheese. We had dined at your restaurant about 4 years ago while visiting Williamsburg and I tasted your version...I have been on a search for years for the best Mac & Cheese, and I thought yours was about the... Sorry you guys had less than an awesome time but, as I explained, we haven't changed our recipe in 10 years! We know all too well that staff error is always a possibility, no matter how proud we are of our guys. As for the memory of the recipe, perhaps distance made the heart grow fonder? Nonetheless, we take a... More

We were a visiting family of four eating lunch on Saturday. We all ordered the French dip because the group next to us had it and it looked so good. Well it was! The sandwiches were delivered piping hot too! The beef was very tender and had delicious caramelized onions too. It came with an enormous amount of thin cut... More

There is no doubt that Blue Talon has great food but their service is very hit or miss. The also have very dumb timing when it comes to breakfast/brunch. My family and I went to eat breakfast at 10am on a Friday and they wouldn't seat us because apparently they don't serve any breakfast/food between 10-11. Poor idea if you... More

I have to apologize, as it looks like some wires got crossed. We actually serve Breakfast until 10:30 on Friday, which leaves the guys in the kitchen only 30 minutes to set up for Lunch. Even during that 30 minutes we offer Fresh Baked Croissants, Pastries, Breakfast Quiche, Coffees, etc. Sounds like our hostess dropped the ball on sharing info... More

As we walked in no one was overly glad to see us. The atmosphere was quaint and we were seated. Our waitress was new to the area and we guess new to waitressing. I won't go into her mistakes as we have all had our first job and or an off night. She was pleasant but barely said anything to... More

Everything I eat there is 4-5 Star. Must try "Two Bean Sausage Argula Soup" just a cup. Best I have ever had. Eat at the bar and get to know the great bartender, Chrissy, whom I have known foy 18 years.

We always enjoy eating at the Blue Talon. They always have an eclectic, but tasty menu. The draft beers also got thumbs up from some of our beer connoisseur friends.

This quaint little bistro has a very present French flare. The décor and atmosphere reflect a light and airy trip on a bike to the local café for crescents or croquet madam. We were there on a very hot July day, and the selection of chilled rose, blush, and Chablis was much appreciated.
