We come to Williamsburg 3-5 times a year. Food For Thought is a MUST DO. Food, atmosphere, and prices are outstanding. Do not overlook this one.

After a great day exploring Colonial Williamsburg, we needed a reasonable restaurant with good food. A vendor in the modern shops recommended this gem! We had pot roast, meatloaf, jerk chicken and cilantro chicken. All tasted homemade. Food was hot and delicious. Our waitress was attentive. Nice decor. The place was packed when we left. Great for families! Enjoy!

Had dinner with our family and in-laws. Nice place, plenty of things for the little things to look at. My 2 year old kept calling out the letters hanging from the ceiling. We went around 5-5:30 and glad we did. When we were done, parking lot was full and looked like a 45-60 min wait. I had the "fall off... More

Looked like something I wanted to try but my son and his girlfriend were reluctant. I insisted and we all ended up with a great meal and a really good time. The sweet potato corn bread they brought out was amazing! Everyone of us loved our meal! The service was wonderful. We need one near our home in TN.

After a couple of hours power shopping at the outlets, we were looking for a nice, casual sit down restaurant for lunch...and we found it at Food for Thought. Hubby called it "fancy family" - service was perfect and the food was wonderful, especially the sweet potato cornbread basket before the meal. I enjoyed the meatloaf, hubby had the pot... More

We visited Williamsburg for the Colonial/Revolutionary experiences. We met good friends to share the vacation and they heard about this restaurant from friends. Bottom line - we were SO happy we visited! The service was amazing, the menu had PLENTY of options for the 10 of us (4 adults, 6 children) along with great gluten-free options for our daughter. The... More

I had the Family reunion, meatloaf & pot roast combo. Best meatloaf I've ever had. Hubby had the grilled steak salad, the filet was tender and incredibly flavorful. Will definitely be eating here again. The owner himself came through asking how it was, & even shared his secret ingredient for my dinner (parmesan cheese as a binder), and you get... More

I had filet mignon and crab cake combo, mashed potatoes and asparagus. The rolls were some of the best I've ever had. Key lime pie for desert. Lots of food. We were on vacation. Took what I didn't eat back to our room and ate the leftovers for breakfast. Still delicious warmed up in the microwave.
