What could be better than cheese and a glass of wine after a morning immersed in the mid 1700's at Williamsburg ? A truly rhetorical question This is your spot where they will make a small cheese platter for you from the cheeses you choose from their large selection and with their very pleasant help. The sandwiches at the back... More

Pretty traditional spot on merchant square. Nice selection of tasty sandwiches, but beware of a mob scene at high noon on any day tourists flock to town . Hope selection of wine and beers in cellar. Some fancy cheeses and condiments for takeaway.

For the second year in a row, we have enjoyed our afternoons sitting in the courtyard enjoying cheese and wine and people watching. It's one of the biggest highlights of our trip! I highly recommend it!

We were looking for a nice sandwich and were pleasantly surprised with this find. The sandwich choices were wonderful and the sides/beverage choices were as well. The shop had many delicious gourmet food/sauces to sample and purchase.

I went in looking for a unique craft beer. They not only had this beer but also had a complementary beer that was even more rare. I had been looking for this specific brew for months and the closest bottle I could find was 250 miles away. They pulled it from their private reserve and sold it! Thanks again to... More

We had lunch here while in Colonial Williamsburg. They are obviously busy everyday and being in the location they are in, they should understand that they will get a lot of tourists who do not know how their shop operates. That being said, the food was excellent, but the attitudes of the people working there were awful.

Well, we have been here twice in three days. The sandwiches are delicious. High marks to the roast beef/pepper jack/honey mustard on pumpernickel. The Virginia Ham we tried today was too salty. However, our daughter also loved her smoked turkey sandwich. The bread and quality meats and cheeses make for yummy picnic fixings.

We went to the Cheese Shop during our Spring Break vacation. It was cozy, but on a cold weather day we think there is a lack of indoor sitting. Sandwiches were great with their house dressing sauce. We also ordered a cheese tray which it was great. A bit pricey for the portion. Overall was a good place to have... More
