Love this place!

This is a must-stop for us every time we are in CW! I love the Virginia ham on French with provolone - the house sauce makes the sandwich!

We stopped by for lunch as we toured the Merchants Square. Order your food from the line and wait for your name to be called when the food is ready to be picked up. Sodas and chips are located in a separate area from the sandwiches. We found a table on the covered, outside area with about 5 tables. Since... More

My husband and I always stop here to buy lunch to take with us on our trip home. It is great to find a shop that I can get good food and make my own picnic lunch. I always get Virginia Ham as it is so tasty there. You can eat outside if you want to. It is very busy... More

We've had sandwiches here on several occasions. The deli meat is good but the bread is not outstanding. On my last order for a roast beef sandwich, I asked for rye bread but got somewhat dry white bread. I also was charged for someone else's order, 50% higher than mine. Error was corrected when I complained later. Location is right... More

We were looking for something to eat during our Sunday stroll and happened to be right in front of The Cheese Shop, so we decided to stop in for lunch. The place was busy and seemed popular, which we've found bodes well as an indicator for a good place to eat. We must have looked a little unsure of where... More

There order system is very confusing. We did not know where to order a sandwich where to get a beer. Upstairs and downstairs. Where do you sit-- outside only if it is nice weather. No room inside. Buy your sandwich and hunt for a seat. no waiters. We were not even sure what restaurant wee were at day Monday afternoon.... More

We were looking for a place to eat that was close to Colonial Williamsburg and could get a quick lunch. They have a large selection of sandwiches and side salads available, all at a reasonable price. Our sandwiches were delicious and filling. Lots of nice outside seating. Great place for lunch.

Love to bring our dog and go on a casual walk around Colonial Williamsburg and the Cheese Shop is where we top it off. We each order a glass of wine and cheese plate (lots of cheese's to choose from) and sit outside and relax with our dog. You then either keep your wine glass or turn it in for... More

Very pleased with our choice for a mid-day snack. Bread, meat, and spread were delicious. Throw in a cold drink and a bag of chips and you are ready to head back out.

We stopped in during the lunch rush. We ordered an egg salad sandwich, a ham sandwich, and a grilled cheese. The egg salad was loaded with onions, so if you don't like onions this is not for you. The ham and grilled cheese were good but they are just sandwiches, nothing fancy and it was pretty expensive. The service was... More
