Enjoyed good deli style sandwiches here with friends but the wait can be long. Good bet for take out and is probably a better place to visit in warmer seasons so you could sit outside as inside seating is limited. Cheese shop does offer an interesting and varied selection of cheeses and other gourmet foodstuffs.

The food here may be good, but I won't be back. Their business model is so disrespectful of their customers. I waited in line 10 minutes to place my sandwich order. I'm waiting fir 40 minutes with about 50 others crowded in a small place to get my sandwiches. Their process presumes customers have 1 hour to wait on their... More

This was our second trip to Williamsburg in 8 years. Happy the store was still there. We bought beer, cheeses, crackers, bread, and salami for appetizers at our timeshare. We love the selection and friendly staff. Hope to see you again.

My husband and I ordered two BBQ sandwiches and purchased chips and soda. We never got even a slight smile from the grumpy people working there. The cashier actually used his fingers to wipe his nose before taking our money! The food was fine but nothing special, although the chips were hard. There was more than enough BBQ on the... More

Long lines for build your own sandwiches made with top ingredients. Wait times go quickly as you peruse gourmet everything...condiments, sauces, pastas, chocolates, cookies, cheeses, jams, chutneys, honey and more. Nice selection of drinks in bottled and containers and a wine store down the stairs. All you need is a blanket and you have a picnic!

My family and I have been to Williamsburg a few times and most recently we have returned with my wife needing to be Gluten Free. One of the options was the Cheese shop. We walked in and immediately loved the deli shop feel and the bustle that goes with it. Even with the crowds and the small space there is... More

We came mid-afternoon on a Sunday to find a crazy busy place. Four people were taking orders; lots of customers waiting for their orders; it looked like only 2 people were preparing sandwiches. We were just in the way while waiting, as were most people. You could pay at the back or pay at the front. The food itself was... More

My wife and I wanted some cheese to go with the wine we had bought from Williamsburg winery so we figured we'd stop at a place called the Cheese Shop to get some. Have a very good selection and variety of cheeses. The staff is very knowledgeable and will allow you to taste test any of the flavors you would... More

Friend and I stopped in for a quick bite and found the fresh- made packaged foods. OMG - chicken salad was great! Vegetarian fare, too! And two different sizes, so if you want just a snack, you have choice, but if you want more, you're covered there, too. The best selection of cheeses around and the wine shop downstairs is a... More

The Cheese Shop has much more than cheese. Fun place to look at all the variety of goods on the shelves. Just like the cheese, prices are a bit high but they are stocked with items that are hard to find and specialized. The staff at the cheese counter are very friendly, offer advise and will help you pick out... More
