Been patronizing The Cheese Shop for over 25 years, and they still do it right. Sandwiches made with the finest ingredients. And a large selection of gourmet cheeses. Don't forget to ask for "extra House."

We make this our first stop when we arrive in Williamsburg! We love the freshness of their sandwiches. I think they have outgrown this new location also. Look forward to visiting every year!

Great place to pick up fresh bread, cheese, and meat for a picnic. We love to go in grab excellent food to take or eat there. It also has a good selection on beers (ale, craft, local, etc.) The lines may seem daunting but they move very quickly!

The sandwich I ordered was good. The place was very crowded and it was hard to find a place to sit. I had the tuna sandwich and it had grapes in it instead of celery. It worked.

This is a deli inside Colonial Williamsburg. It was a rainy day and many locations were closed. So we tried The Cheese Shop. We were pleasantly surprised with our sandwiches. We had a turkey with virginia ham on rye and also a chicken salad sandwich. They were both on great tasting bread and made for a great lunch on a... More

You are instantly surrounded by all kinds of food when you walk through the door. Sandwiches are ordered at a counted in back, then carried to your table. The chicken salad on whole wheat was wonderful. Very lively atmosphere. Wine cellar in the basement!

While exploring Colonial Williamsburg my husband and I stopped in to grab a quick and light lunch. Be prepared for a very busy store and a bit of a wait for your sandwiches. Quite a few of the nearby college students, locals and visitors of Williamsburg were there when we came in at about 2pm. The front patio was packed... More

This is a great place for lunch or light fare when sightseeing in Colonial Williamsburg. We enjoyed the range of foods available. They also have a wine store in the basement and we were able to have a half bottle of wine with our sandwiches.

We had visited with friends who had told us to visit the Cheese shop to see their fantastic selection of cheeses crackers etc. When we went in we realised they did a large choice of sandwiches and salads but our eye caught the sign for the cheese plater. We were served by Margaret A who asked us about our personal... More

Wonderful wine shop buried beneath the fabulous Cheese Shop. What a range and what knowledge from the staff. The Cheese Shop itself does wonderful sandwiches - very quick even if the shop looks busy.
