My husband and I usually make a habit of visiting the Wythe Candy and Gourmet Shop in Merchant's Square which happens to be right next door to the Cheese Shop. We decided to poke our head in on our most recent trip and were pleasantly surprised to find all manner of goodies. We settled on purchasing some sea salt crackers... More

We always make a stop here while in Williamsburg! The store is very tiny so expect a crowd and a wait. But it is worth it! The Virginia ham is the best! It can be tough to secure a table outside, so it is best for one person to scout a table while the other one gets the sandwiches.

When you're here, get the "bread ends and dip" - they sell the ends of the bread that they make and then they have a house dressing. Dip the bread ends into the dip and there you go, bread ends and dip. It's delicious. When I was here, I got a grilled cheese and it was magnificent. Just sayin'.

We live in Williamsburg, so we go here very often. The food is excellent and the selection is amazing. Be advised though that it gets very very crowded, so you can wait for up to 20 minutes or more to pick up your food. It is packed with tourists who wander around wide eyed and have no idea how to... Took a lunch break from touring Colonial Williamsburg and ducked into the Cheese Shop for a few sandwiches. Food was excellent. The ordering process was a little chaotic and the line long, but it moved fairly quickly.

We love to eat here so much that we make many trips here on our vacation! They have the tastiest sandwiches and their house dressing is to die for. ( We always buy a bottle to take home.) The atmosphere both inside and out is wonderful and they have great customer service. You actually go to the back of the... More

Even on July 4th when you could barely get in the door the wait wasn't very long and the sandwiches were amazing to say the least!

I stopped in yesterday to peruse over the beer and wine selection downstairs before our ghost tour. I have always been impressed with the selection The Cheese Shop has, and had some time to kill so it was a win win for me. As I was making my rounds, looking at all the offerings, I overheard the very knowledgeable and... More

Great place for lunch while shopping or visiting Colonial Williamsburg. They have a large menu of tasty sandwiches and you can shop for cheeses and lots of other great times!
