We were in Williamsburg for my nephew's wedding and visited Colonial Williamsburg with my family+, about 10 of us total. We stopped at the Cheese Shop as it looked like all of us, kids to adults, could find something yummy. You order at the back and choose what you want on each sandwich (both times I had the Virginia Ham-YUM),... More

Soooooo crowded... can't wait to go back when it is less crowded. Too many folks... no where to sit and not crazy about eating standing up. Be back soon...

We enjoyed a nice lunch here a few weeks ago. A little pricy for a deli but great sandwiches and sides. Enjoy a table out front to do some people watching on a nice day but beware, there could be quite a wait for a table in the summer tourist season.

Informal, friendly, close to the employees (almost like an instant family) great outdoor seating in beautiful surroundings. I highly recommend the place if the weather cooperates.

After a tiring day walking around the sites at Colonial Williamsburg, my family picked up some yummy deli sandwiches, quirky sodas and gourmet chips for an enjoyable outdoor meal, and watched the tourists wander by as we sat in the shade under the large umbrella. The Cheese Shop had a nice selection of a variety of cheeses, and it was... More

The sandwiches were delicious. Large slices of bread, lots of meat. You can eat ourtdoors or indoors. Large selection of beverages to go with the meal.

Being only a 10-minute walk from the Capitol Building (the farthest point away from the Cheese Shop in Colonial Williamsburg, more or less), The Cheese Shop was highly recommended by a CW aficionado. Amazing selection of cheeses and suggested pairings with wine or one of the many craft brews. Staff was patient and helpful and did not push for massive... More

My wife and I stopped here to pick up sandwiches for our drive away from Williamsburg. The Saturday lunch crowd included shoppers at the farmer's market, and parents who were dropping off the incoming freshman class at the College of William & Mary. Even so, the wait was not unreasonable: there were 3 in line to order, and about a... More

We waited a long time to get our food. My grilled cheese sand which was mostly all bread and not cheese. The cheese was good but very expensive. Every one in my family said there food was not very good. When we went to pay the person working was not nice. I would not recommend the cheese shop.

Very busy at lunch, not sure that "regulars" weren't served before tourists because all you could do was place your order and wait for your name to be called. Some of us seemed to wait a LOT longer than others, who were dressed with name tags and obvious employees of nearby businesses. The sandwiches were good, the menu diverse enough... More
