We popped in here for a quick snack and drink after visiting Colonial Williamsburg. What a fun place. They have a huge selection of cheeses (which you would expect of course) and complementary meats. We ordered a cheese tray for two with a variety of cheeses to try. You get to pick you own cheeses, and a very knowledgeable staff... More

My friends and I had lunch at The Cheese Shop one afternoon. The food was good, although a little pricey. For the area, it was not too expensive and they had a nice lunch selection. Good food, very convenient for historic Williamsburg.

The sandwiches are simple, yet exquisite. Order on a French baguette with house dressing are a must to your meat or veggie selection. The service is friendly and professional. If you're in Williamsburg, this place is a must try. If you're here in the winter, there is a heated tent on the side of the shop. Enjoy !

Yummy sandwiches to eat there, take for a picnic or back to the room if your hotel is close by. We ordered there everyday for lunch during our 4 day visit, saving the dinner meal for the taverns. We beat the crowd by placing our order over the phone. The lines were long and we were able to avoid them... More

We wanted a little wine and cheese to eat in our room, but were overwhelmed by all the choices. The staff was very helpful and guided us to some interesting cheeses, crackers, a sausage and a couple of bottles of wine that were not only within our budget, but went very well together. We had tastes of almost everything before... More

We just happened into The Cheese Shop while taking a break from adjacent Colonial Williamsburg. We actually went in to see about some wine and cheese for that evening and found that they had great sandwiches. We were there in February so although the store was busy the wait was very short. Probably a mad house in summers. They had... More

The Cheese Shop is a wonderful place to have lunch. They have a great selection of cheeses and their bread is delicious.. Also, they now offer a variety of salads ie tuna, chicken salad and other tasty items. We think the service is extremely good. It is true there are times you may have to wait for a while but,... It is first class food - waiting time sometimes a little long, especially during the time many tourists are in town. Nice area outside with tables for eating so you can watch the people going by. Lots of other food items to purchase.
