very good seafood

I had a nice soup and the seafood was very good. Very elegant place with nice and gentle waitresses. Price not high so I recommend it if you like seafood.

Visited whilst staying in Williamsburg. I had one of the 'specials' - salmon, scallops, onions, leeks and tomatoes cooked in parchment paper - couldn't fault it - really excellent dish ...

My wife and I celebrated our 47 anniversary by making a reservation at Barret's. We both ordered the crab cakes with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes had absolutely no flavor, and the crab cakes were burned. We both had a drink with our meal. My wife had a glass of wine and I ordered a bourbon. Knowing that it probably... ...and it worked! We sat in the quaint indoor bar (was too hot or the outdoor seating after a very hot day) to have $1 oysters and some drinks. Ened up ordering a variety of great appetizers for "dinner" > Good wait staff, bartender and was enjoyable

We are locals. We used to regularly frequent the Taphouse in summers. For the past two years food and service have deteriorated. Last night's dinner experience removed it from our "go to" list: wine was served after our food; barbecue sandwich required a knife and fork because chunks of pork awere too large to chew; conversely, crabcake sandwich was mostly... Six of us went for a nice dinner and it was very very good. The fish in parchment paper was excellent and highly recommended. The calamari was done very well. Loved the corn bread. Drinks were good. Service was excellent. Oysters were done well as an appetizer. The most impressive thing to my family was the kid's menu. it went... More

We wanted to eat somewhere outside of Colonial Williamsburg and Berret's is one of the best restaurants in the area. They specialize in seafood dishes, which are absolutely incredible. Highly recommend dining here.

She crab soup with sherry and a very cold beer is always our first stop. No comparison on the East Coast. Enjoyed some tasty oysters on the half also. We always appreciate the superb service and friendly atmosphere. See you soon.

A restaurant for serious (fancy) seafood eaters. Meals are beyond just sea bass with rice as they prepared sauteed / with sauce. I recommend kids eat from the kids menu unless you have adventurous young eaters. Prices on the higher side.

look much beet on the outside than it really is. Sea food is just average, nothing special. Service OK but not great. We were rather disappointed.
