Great Staff & Location

We Love Berret's usually sit in the bar area. Oysters on the half shell always fresh. Favorite drink in the evening Hot buttered rum. Its amazing, staff very friendly. Have been coming here for many years never had a bad experience.

I had extended family in from out of town, and we met at Berret's for dinner based on it's excellent reviews from friends. We were NOT disappointed! First, our waitress Sam was amazing. She was thoughtful, knowledgeable on the menu and wines, and really went above and beyond for our group. The food was fabulous! We ordered the fried oysters... More

My Ladies Lunch Out group went to Berret's last Friday. The luncheon menu had a lot of choices that did not include seafood, however most in our group had some type of seafood. Most ordered the crab cake sandwich and they said it was good. I had a hard time choosing between the Brie sandwich with ham and pear served... More

We've eaten here a # of times and the food is always very good. Service is generally very good but the ambiance really depends on what room you are in and who is sitting near you. Favorite is the front room near the entrance, least fav is the back room where larger parties and children frequent. The indoor bar is... More

Accidentally came across this restaurant while spending the day in Williamsburg. Lucky us! Nothing fancy about the decor but the food was fantastic. Highly recommend the crab cake sandwich on an English muffin - the dip was amazing. Caesar salad was also delicious. The service was outstanding, too. Would definitely go back!

Was here with a large group, in a separate room. Service was very good, and all our meals were excellent. I will definitely go back soon.

It has been years (10+) since my last visit to Williamsburg. This place was always a favorite with my parents. Now I remember why. Comfortable space, good food, unobtrusive waiters and not a tricorn hat to be seen. Seafood is the fare and not to be missed. I had excellent Virginia (York River)oysters on the half shell and crab cakes.... More

Berret's has been a great staple for us for a long time for seafood. A recent meal with friends was really not up to their usual standards. Their usually wonderful crab cakes were charred and not worth the price that seems to have increased substantially. The cakes were not the usual lump meat and minimal fillings, and more of a... This is a really nice restaurant. The service was good, the food was excellent... Try the fresh cobbler for desert. Just a short walk from the Marketplace and in the Colonial area.

Amazing food! Seriously some of THE freshest seafood in Williamsburg. The resturant manager is very friendly and does a great job with his staff. The cheese plate as an app during lunch is great, highly recommend the drink flights and the crab cakes at dinner are phenomenal. Ask for Samantha for a waitress, she is wonderful!
