After a morning and most of an afternoon enjoying Colonial Williamsburg, we stopped by Berret's for a late afternoon respite. Lunch is served until 3:30 PM and Dinner begins at 5 PM. In between, is Happy Hour in the bar. We had been on their website a day before and had not seen any notice concerning happy hour, they do... More

The food here is not only delicious but they really do a nice job putting an interesting twist on tradition favorites. I had the salmon and I have to say it was one of the best I have ever had. Done perfectly. My children love their food; their children's pizza is on a flat bread... really good

I would have given the restaurant one star except for our waitress who did a very good job as we were a group of eight. Overall the food was tasteless and lukewarm. The first course, She-Crab Soup, was quite good. But the main course, The Blue Plate Special, was disappointing. The crab cakes tasted mushy, the oysters and shrimp were... More

We had pre-booked our dinner some weeks ahead at this restaurant in the heart of Williamsburg, and it was busy when we arived though we were seated straight away. We chose to sit outside, and this proved to be the right option on a hot and humid summer night. Our meal was enjoyed by all three of us - we... More

Everything we had was wonderful. The wild salmon was rich and wonderful. The crab was tender and melted in your mouth. For desert the cobbler was to die for. Service was spectacular, prompt and very friendly. We could not have wished for a better dinner.

I dined at Berret's with my husband and two great friends who had traveled across the country for a meeting. We had a terrific server (whose name escapes me, sorry!) who was skilled enough to make some wonderful suggestions for our meals and drinks. A couple of us had a flight of white wines that was to die for! Yum!... More

Spending a week in Williamsburg, VA with 5 adults and 3 grandchildren creates many dining dilemmas. The least of which is finding a really nice restaurant that knows how to accommodate kids. Having eaten at Berret's Seafood before and having really enjoyed our meal we thought a return visit was warranted. First let me say that our server Chris was... More

We visited the Taphouse Grill. Everyone was very nice even though our service was slow. But in any case, how about a clam or to. I am in Virginia and there are no clams on the menu. Oh well, the She-crab soup was very good. The crab cake was only okay, the crab salad was odd. I guess they did... More

Very friendly resteraunt with nice and thoughtful staff. the food was excellent with the exception of the size of the clams i ordered which were pretty much non existant. Again, the food was good and the serving size was fair
