A Virginia Classic!

Well, I have tried a couple of other BBQ spots in Williamsburg (excluding Roccos) and Pierce is still the best bbq in the area. It is not great bbq (like Arthur Bryants), but it is consistently decent, reasonably priced bbq. I stop here at least once a year whether it is for a trip to the beach or... read more

Even compared to the slim options in town I would opt for them unfortunately. I really want to like Pierce's and have tried it twice, but I can't get past the overly sweet BBQ sauce flavor, the lack of smoke flavor in the meat, and the cheap out of the bag frozen to frier side items. It really has potential... More

We love Pierce's! Every time we are in Williamsburg this is a must stop. The BBQ pulled pork and chicken are both delicious. We make sure to stock up on bottles of their BBQ sauce so we can make it at home. This trip it was the first stop to eat. We arrived in Williamsburg just in time for lunch.... More

Great BBQ. I prefer East Carolina BBQ, but Pierce's has just enough vinegar to suit my taste. Glad I like all kinds of BBQ. I have been going to Pierce's since the 70's and it was just take out. As a local at that time we loved the fact that we were the only one's that knew about the great... More

I might be a Bar-B-Que snob, but I do know good bar-b-que. It might have been open since 1971 and host stars and food magazines, but it did not live up to the hype. The restaurant was packed with locals as it takes a GPS to find this hidden restaurant . You order at the counter and wait for your... More

Pierce's BBQ is our favorite. We always get the meal which has a large sandwich, fries, drink and cookie. We've been eating here for 30 years. I love their BBQ. I feel like the cookie was not as good on my last trip. It seemed more store bought. This place is always packed but they do a great job of... More

I had read a few reviews on this place and decided to give it a try. It was very busy when we got there, but our food was hot and ready in no time. we tried the pulled barbecue chicken which came with fries, coleslaw and hush puppies. The barbecue sauce is really good and you can even buy it... More

Let me just start by saying..we are bbq ppl. We love tender smoked ribs with caramelized sticky sauce that falls right off the bone. We were out of town and heard this place was the place to go. Upon arrival it looked a little run down but the parking lot was full. It was 100degrees out today and the place... More
