Good solid BBQ. Nice place, outside seating. A little hard to get to, if you are from out of town. Decent staff.
After a long day at Busch Gardens, my husband and I headed to Pierce's Pitt BBQ around 7pm and it was packed! We ordered our food and luckily while waiting, a table opened up that we snatched. My husband had the pork shank platter and I had the pulled pork sandwich which came with fries and a cookie. It was... More
I used to travel from Richmond to Williamsburg just to grab lunch at Pierce's (the drive down Route 5 is nice, and passes several old plantations - just a nice, leisurely drive) but, sadly, it's just not as good as it used to be. They still draw a good crowd, the staff is friendly, but it seems that the quality... More
The service was fast, the restaurant was clean but the food was just okay. I love vinegar based bbq so I was not overly impressed. The restaurant is in a beautiful location with trees and picnic tables. If I go again, I will try the burger.
This restaurant was highly recommended by the hotel. Supposedly, the top 10 BBQ restaurants in the Nation. Well to our dismay, it was not the "bomb". It was good which is consistent with other BBQ joints but did not blow our mind and palate. Great pricing and they do give military discount. I recommended if hungry for BBQ and its... More
We tried burgers, ribs, catfish, chicken tenders, fries, collards, green beans and corn bread and the winner was burger. The vegatables we canned, bbq sauce is ok, too thin for me, catfish had no flavor and the batter was too thick. Great staff, fast service and next time we will get the burgers only.
We are so glad that you enjoyed the service and the burgers! We are proud of our fresh cooked, never frozen patties! If you find the bbq sauce is too thin, feel free to add more. We have extra sauce in the sauce pumps on the condiment stand. We do hope you come back to visit us again soon! More
We used to live in Charlottesville and vacation in Chincoteague, so would stop at Pierce's on the trip home after a week at the beach. It was always an enjoyable meal. In Williamsburg it's good if you can avoid the chains and pancake houses. That was ten years ago. Last week we found ourselves traveling from Ocean City to Charlottesville,... More
We are so glad that you stopped back by and enjoyed your visit! We have just recently brought back the ribs and are excited to say that we now cook them on the open pit like the pulled pork! Thank you for coming in and we hope to see you again soon! More
Pierce's is a one-of-a-kind place. The barbeque has a unique flavor which is almost habit forming. It is best to avoid the place on summer weekends as it is very crowded. Off season is the best time to visit. The ordering process is simple. You order and pay for your food and wait for your number to be called. Sometimes,... More
We're so glad that you enjoy your visits! If you are ever craving our bar-b-que during those busy summer days feel free to call your order in and skip the line. We hope to see you again soon! More
I wanted barbeque....specifically, pulled pork to see how Virginia could do it. I was told Pierce's would be epic. I was not lied to. The place is not fancy, though there is a lot of room for diners. The pork was perfect and the sauce even better....just spicy enough to keep me wanting more. And more there was, perfect for... More

It's inexpensive and good. BBQ is one of those things that hits home, either you love it or not. I've never had anyone I brought here not like it. I also like that there is chicken, pork, and beef, bbq and a slew of sides to choose from. Give it a try!
We're so glad that you enjoy our bar-b-que and that you keep bringing people in to see us! Come back soon! More
