This is simply the best Bar-B-Que you're going to find in this part of the country! More than worth the detour off I-64.

My brother recommended this BBQ place - it was terrific. Excellent BBQ with more choices than just pork; my daughter had the pulled chicken platter. The hush puppies were to DIE for - best I've ever had. Portion size was large - you get a lot for your money. We like it so much the first night, we went again... More

Had the family owned feel. Staff was super helpful and nice. Food was excellent. We're visiting from Central Virginia and always try and check out the "mom and pop" style restaurants. If in Williamsburg again, we will definitely be visiting.

We are so glad that you stopped by while you were in Williamsburg! We have been in the Pierce's family for 44 years and have been happily serving the same recipe for our pulled pork BBQ. We cannot wait until you stop by again! More

It's chopped pork with a tangy sweet sauce. It's good, cheap, home made, and a tradition. The place is usually busy, but fast. It is a favorite of locals and travelers alike. The hush puppies are fantastic.

Price-wise its on-par with a typical fast food visit but the food is much better! I saw other reviews about the side dishes being small and i disagree. You can not complain about that given their price, & even still, i thought it was just enough. Same goes with the pulled pork. Yup, ive had larger quantities elsewhere, but again,... More

The place is pretty informal; place your order, pay, and wait for your order to be called. The ribs, pulled pork and the brisket are all tasty. But don't expect knock your socks off BBQ. Nothing here is that memorable. On the other hand, if you want a quick meal in a very casual setting, then this is the place... More

We are glad that you think our ribs and pulled pork are tasty! We have one of the last remaining open pits for smoking our BBQ and ribs and have proudly been serving the Pierce's sauce for 44 years. We hope to see you again soon! More

Hard to find on a tree-lined parkway parallel to I-64 east outside of Williamsburg. Busy place though. Locals like to keep it that way but lots of out-of-state license plates in parking lot attest to its popularity. BBQ pork, chicken and beef platters are good and plenty of tables have varieties of BBQ sauces on them. I do like their... More

We are so glad that you enjoy our menu options! We do serve pulled pork and pulled chicken and have a few hot sauce options on the tables to go with our original BBQ sauce, which all of the BBQ is marinated in. We do have a homemade coconut pie, lemon pound cake, and we now serve Extraordinary Cupcakes to... More

When I think of pulled pork, I think of long shredded strands of meat. Not strands that have been mushed into what looks like cat food. Only good thing about this place is their french fries - basic, but good if you add some salt & pepper. I was most disappointed in the the restaurant not honoring my coupon (though... More

We are so sorry to hear about your experience with us. We take great pride in our pit cooked pulled pork and are saddened to hear that it did not meet your standards. We do have signs on the registers to help remind customers to provide coupons before the transaction, but our cashier should have gotten a manager to get... More

I have always seen this place along I-64. In fact, I've seen it grow with development on E. Rochambeau Dr. over the past decade. Our family decided to give it a try with mixed results. The rib lover of the family didn't care for the ribs, but the one who doesn't care for ribs raved they were the best she's... More

As visitors to Surry County and Jamestown on the 4th of July, we were looking for a place unique to the area for dinner. A customer at Harris Teeter Grocers in Williamsburg recommended Pierce's. We drove the distance. When we arrived, we noticed pleasant picnic table options outside as we headed inside. We ordered our food at the counter, went... More

We are glad that you found us during your 4th of July travels! Different meals come with different portions for the side dishes and the sides differ in portion depending on pricing. Because we are the only Pierce's Pitt BBQ, we do not order in such large qualities as larger businesses can and therefore our prices reflect that. The pulled... More
