I grew up eating BBQ as a kid, and when we moved to VA for the first time in the early 2000s, it was pretty good, but nothing spectacular. Would cure the craving in a pinch! We've moved back to the area (again) this past year and visited Pierce's twice. Both times were awful. The service was ok. It was... More

We have heard about this BBQ place for years - so finally decided to try it. Not much I was impressed with. Thought it was like a fast good experience - how disappointing. Food served in plastic containers - french fries were greasy, tiny sides were included. Was not impressed with the price either. It was like cafeteria style inside.... More

This was the worst experience I have ever had. The meals were served in plastic trays and the fries were similar to those found in a school cafeteria. The chicken was obviously frozen then re heated. The atmosphere was horrible, with ugly yellow walls and terrible music. It was $60 for a family of five. I should've gone to Chick... More

The pulled pork BBQ sandwich was great. North Carolina style sauce, which is very sweet to my taste, but comes with cole slaw on the sandwich which is a good combination. My wife liked the catfish platter, and the fries were good. Not too happy to pay $2.50 for a bottle of water, but everyone was friendly. Would be better... More

This is always one of our first stops once we hit Williamsburg. The barbeque is classic, tangy and SO delicious. They always give you plenty of barbeque and there is no skimping on the sauce. If you're looking for a sweet sauce, this isn't the one for you. It's a very North Carolina style sauce and it is amazing. The... More

As we were staying at Great Wolf Lodge, and did not want to spend resort prices for dinner, we decided to follow my coworker’s recommendation and try Pierce’s. Pierce’s is close to GWL, (less than a mile down the same road as GWL), and the wait was minimal for a Sunday night. We all ordered the pulled pork sandwich. Various... More

My wife and I ate here while visiting Williamsburg last week. The barbecue was dry and the portions of the side dishes were down right embarrassing. The 1970's tables were uncomfortable and the whole experience was a total waste. Save your time and money and try a different barbecue spot.

Best BBQ we have had since we have been back to VA! Sides were great too - sweet potato sticks were addicting! Can't wait to go back.

Today was the fifth time I have visited Pierce's Pitt. Out back they have three huge smoke/BBQ houses. What impressed me the most today was the baked beans. I thought I was the only one who ate beans with wieners cooked in them. That is how they were served today. I had their special BBQ pork sandwich with a side,... More
