I have eaten at Mama Steve's for many years now. Whenever I am in the area, I always look forward to coming back. It's not the food that makes we return (although the food is pretty good). I keep coming back because of the charm--traditional old south hospitality and décor. Not much has changed (if anything) since my first visit... More

Nothing special! Quite similar to any pancakes houses. I like the vintage style of interior. We paid them 20% tips, but they seems very not happy about it. Williamsburg has so many pancakes that this one doesn't make come back!

There is nothing special about this place except an exceptional roadside sign. The pancakes were ok. The mexicano omlette had more salsa than necessary. It was just food. Our waitress was attentive. The staff/waitress attire left a lot to be desired. We were not sure what they were intended to portray. We would not go out of our way to... More

Besides the waitress telling us how tired she was, how she could not wait to go home, and giving u the plates to pass around the table, and the hostess and the cook arguing about how she did not belong in the kitchen, the food was terrible. Pancakes with no sugar and rubbery, eggs that were cold, uncooked bacon that... More

Positives: Bacon was nice and crispy, just like I like it. Negatives: There is no personality in this place OR in their food. The managing staff (they dressed to be noticed for sure!) reminded me of the wicked evil stepsisters in Cinderella and the waitstaff looked like their unhappy servants. It was really interesting to watch the dynamics of the... More

I'll be honest, we went here because we had a coupon! But we are very glad we did! The pancakes were so delicious! I got the Bacon yummys, which had bacon strips in the pancakes. Which, if you haven't had before - are awesome! My husband really enjoyed his pancakes too, his had bananas.

Madame and I had breakfast at Mama Steve's on a sunny Friday not long ago, and enjoyed it a great deal. The restaurant is an older property that has been around since the mid-sixties, or thereabouts, and has apparently built up quite a clientele as it was very busy even though tourist season was not yet in full swing. Eggs,... More

We ate here prior to heading to Busch Gardens, the food was good and really held us over for all the running a theme park requires. The chipped beef was like dear mom's and the corned beef hash was awesome! Our little one had chocolate chip pancakes, yum! Service was good, the food took a smidge longer then expected, but... More

This is an old restaurant. I remember coming here 20 years ago and I don't believe anything has changed. The service was excellent, We received our food quickly after ordering. The quality was average. We were a little disappointed that they did not offer sausage gravy on the menu. The pancakes were average. We were also disappointed that the only... More
