The Atmosphere of a Classic Steakhouse

Short version: Great food, great service! Be aware that this restaraunt is a bit pricy, but we had two great beef dishes. The prime rib was very, very tender. They must have a very good supplier because you don't get this quality in many restaurants. The only criticism I would offer is that... read more

This is a nice restaurant for a good. It is more on the upscale side and I would not recommend it for children. We were brought a basket with crackers, bread sticks and cheddar cheese to start the meal. Our meals came with salad, and two sides. My wife ordered the chicken cordon bleu with a side of baked potato... More

Did not see top reviews on TA, but we had a bad reception across the street, so we just stepped in, it was a casual low key steak house with good prices and excellent service. We had yummy Oyster appetizers and split a steak, they even gave us an extra potato with our shared meal. It was a nice, relaxing... More

Have eaten manyvtimes at several of the other Aberdeen Barns with excellent prime rib. This prime rib (cooked rare )especially in the middle was tough and even difficult to cut with a knife. My girlfriend Delmonico steak was very good and the blue cheese dressing was killer . Service was good but a bit rushed .Might give this one another... More

Mahi Mahi was awesome! Nice atmosphere - waiter was great. Reasonably priced for the quality of food. Will definitely return!

...this is a GOOD thing! Took the family while at Great Wolf Lodge. Close and easily found. Were there around 8 on a Sunday night and service was great and FAST. Cracker sticks brought with a sharp cheddar cheese, then warm rolls brought with our salad (which the waiter spooned on), main course arrived quickly thereafter. Chicken cordon blue was... More

I've been to Aberdeen Barn multiple time in the past (before kids) and loved it very much. Took my kids there for the first time and we were really impressed with our entire meal. Our server was very knowledgeable with the different cuts of meat and assisted my son in order the right doneness for his steak. All steaks came... More

We ate dinner at the Aberdeen Barn in Williamsburg enroute Richmond airport. The restaurant was moderately busy. Wait staff was attentive. Menu is a little pricey. Crackers and barn cheese were quick to the table. Dinner salads were crisp with a choice of dressings provided tableside. The sirloin was tender, cooked right and tasty. The shimp and scallop entree was... More

If you're of a certain age you will remember many steakhouses like this one. Dimly lit, old farming implements on the walls, classically uniformed waiters, and good ol' fashioned American steak and potatoes. I feel like I don't even have to detail the menu because it's the same as it always was. I don't mean that in a bad way,... More

This steak house probably hasn't changed a bit in 30 years, including the decor, but it was a charming place with friendly staff and pretty good food. The prime rib was not quite as good as I had hoped, but it wasn't bad either. The free beer cheese and bread was a big hit, as all of us were famished... More
