Way better than you average museum cafe

While visiting Jamestown colony, we stopped at the cafe in the visitor center for a quick sandwich and were pleasantly surprised. They offer an amazing variety of diner type food. They had three different homemade soups including Virginia peanut soup. They offered chili, stews, burgers, dogs... read more

We were visiting the settlement with our kids and it was pouring outside. We decided to go ahead and check out the cafe for lunch and I'm glad we did. There was a wide variety of food choices and the price was so affordable. I'm so used to being overcharged for food at attractions and I was thrilled to see... More

After tour of the settlement and museum we decided to try the kitchen there for a quick late lunch. Most of food offered was homemade and our food was delicious. A nice variety was offered. We chose the homemade chili and pulled pork sandwich. The sandwich was served with a sampling of really good potato salad, coleslaw and a pickle.... More

The diversity of food and beverage selection is good but the food preparation was undercooked and somewhat unappetizing. It did, however, "fill the hole" which was the primary objective of entering the cafeteria.

We found tis café to be better than most cafes at museums and historic sites. They have a wide variety of items to choose from and a lot of them are made to order. They also have quite a few items to pick off of the shelf. The prices are not as high as most places like this. There is... More

We were pleasantly surprised by the prices. We had a filling, tasty lunch for a decent price. Lots of options to choose from on the menu. Our children had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches on wheat berry bread, my husband had a bowl of chili and I had a hamburger and fries. We also purchased warm, buttered corn bread (seasonal... Pretty standard cafe fare, but food was freshly made and tasty. I had a deli sandwich and my hubby had the beef brisket, both very good. Prices are ok for tourist location. Outdoor seating was comfy and very picnic like. .

After visiting the exhibits at the Jamestown Settlement we were hungry for something to eat. We thought we'd try the cafe for something to tide us over until we got some "real" food. What a surprise! Our meal of sloppy joes and fries hit the spot; they were delicious. The service was fast. The menu has a nice variety of... More
