The sushi is always very good but the chefs put on a great show with the cooking tables when you desire some entertainment with your meal.
First I want to point out that Hyashi has been under new management and owners for a while. The original owners are now located in Newport News and I hear they do a wonderful job. The new owners operated under the Hyashi name while waiting for a name change and that is bad for business for the original people. Moving... More
I have been here several times for dinner and lunch and I love it! They have the best miso soup and the freshest, yummiest sushi. If you are ever nearby on the weekdays during lunch you should definitely try their bento box. It is so much food and very reasonable priced.
Arrived with a party of 4. Was seated immediately. Ordered mixed drinks, some items not available due to blender being broke. All had hibachi grill. Food was prepared very well and with great show. Will recommend and return
Went there for St. Patrick's Day 2013 with family and our young daughter. The place was dead (no customers), poorly lit and the front door was grimy. horrible service. food was horrible. walls are dirty and gross. cooks are messy and food flys everywhere while they cook. unhappy cooks, not fun experience. really, save yourself the trouble. no lunch menu for hibatchi. spent 25 for horrible food and service.

But in this instance, i really felt that if i had read some honest reviews, I at least could have avoided this place, for sushi. Poorly... More
**BEWARE** I have eaten at quite a few hibachi restaurants and this one is the pits. We arrived at 9pm and there was a VERY intoxicated person sitting at one of the hibachi tables with a large party. This poor soul kept trying not to pass out, eyes closed she kept falling over sideways. I was shocked when we were... More
Went there with my family for hibachi. The food and service was really good. Even the kids really enjoyed their dinners as well. Yes, we would return. The highly negative review I read here on trip advisor was way off base and ridiculous.
We actually wanted to go to the place next door, but it was too crowded so we stop here instead. Very glad we did. We sat at a table - not the hibachi grill. I love sushi and have tried it around the world, so I wasn't expecting very much. I was pleasantly surprised - our sushi was delicious! Service... More
