Still awesome

Ate here several years ago and loved it. Nothing has changed, it's still delicious and a great bargain. Highly recommend the plantation breakfast.

We were greeted and seated by a friendly person. She wanted us to take a small table for two but granted us a larger table with a smile. Server was also friendly. We both ordered the special. It came with salad, soup, sandwich, and dessert. All delicious. The gift shop was a lot of fun.

During our stay with cousins in VA, we had breakfast here at our relatives suggestion. While I can't say their recs were all home runs, this one was a grand slam! The owner greeted us with a kind welcoming, and the food was excellent! I gave this a 5-star because they served up grits, which I've never liked, in the... More

We love to eat lunch here every time we travel this way. Suggest you call ahead for reservations as they are always busy and this is an old house and not very big. While they have a number of items on their menu I would suggest you not miss their special which comes with homemade biscuits with country ham, a... More

We have been visiting the Old Chickahominy House for 25 years. We love the colonial vibe and the store with lots of treasures. It's nice to have something to do while you wait for your table. I order the Miss Melinda's Special every time. The Brunswick Stew is the best and now for a $1 more you can get a... More

When we have out of town guests we try to make sure we stop in and have either their wonderful breakfasts or lunches. It is a real treat for out of towners as well as us locals. I love to browse the shop while waiting and can always find a special gift for that special person.

What a great place for lunch with friends..or maybe just the two of you! Singles too. Great looking old house with various dining rooms inside large and small. Wonderful salad of peach half and pineapple with a creamy sauce, ham sandwich on homemade flat biscuit and the New Brunswick stew, dessert pies included in special price. So much in that... More

The food here is excellent, the wait staff and all of the employees were very nice and attentive. The included boutique shop was great fun.

We've been to the Old Chickahominy House many times, for both breakfast and lunch. This past Sunday we were there for lunch, and once again, it was a great meal. The servers were especially pleasant, and the food terrific. We split Miss Melinda's Special (Brunswick Stew and Ham Biscuits) and the Chicken & Dumplings! Excellent! We topped it all off... More

We stopped here for lunch after reading some of the reviews here on Tripadvisor. So glad we did! It's a small, somewhat crowded house turned restaurant/gift shop. I would think it could get very busy, but we lucked out and only had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Limited menu, but great choices! Southern fare- ham and biscuits, stews,... More
