I have been going to the Trellis for at least 20 years, and have always cherished its innovative, creative and occasionally even surprising menu and its expert kitchen which never failed to exceed my expectations. I have several of Marcel's cookbooks and have recreated his restaurant's delightful regional dishes often in my own kitchen. So imagine my sadness when I... more

My wife and I have been going to the Trellis for over 20 years. We had reservations for 7 people Christmas Eve--one of the highlights of our family's Christmas. In brief, this was NOT the Trellis we had come to know and love--the food was not that good, we waited over and over again for service, they were out of... more

What a joke. Typical tourist trap restaurant. My family had lunch at the restaurant. Seated quickly with mo wait, hostesses look like they were being held against their will. Server was very polite and friendly. But the food... I have had a better sandwich out of a vending machine. The "toasted" sandwich came out refrigerator cold (pre made at $9?.)... more

I recently dined at the Trellis with my family. I had reservations, and we were seated immediately in the Garden Room. Our server showed up about 5 minutes later, she was short in conversation and quite rude. She put our drinks down on the table and didnt even put them in front of the person they were for, and walked... more

Everyone needs to go to the trellis to try the death by chocolate. Although the food did take longer than expected, the manager did pay for our desert for the inconvenience. I would recommen any of the steak dishes especially the skirt steak. You must also get the salad with the Regency Dressing. There are a lot of bad reviews... more

Have been dining at the Trellis for years. Most of the time the menu is spot-on and doesn't dissapoint whether for a casual lunch or treating out of town visitors for lunch or dinner. Today was a different story. We both chose the half sandwich and soup. The wild rice chowder was a tepid cup of rice floating in dish... more

Receptionist was a snotty young lady who bordered on the rude, and had no PR trng at all. The food was OK, but the "greeting", even with a reservation, was offhand and set a negative tone for the evening. more

The Trellis was once a paragon of innovative local cuisine with the freshest ingredients and clever presentations. Now there is a tour bus approach to the service staff, a lack of pride and effort in maintaining the decor, as well as things as minor as spotted wine glasses. Our food was bleakly plated and tepid in temperature. The wine list... more

Our reservation was behind about 15-20 minutes. We're used to this and were very fortunate to find seating at the bar, because the place was packed with reservations. This lead to the question: Did they deliberately overbook? While at the bar we watched the bartender with interest. She was a multi-tasking genius. She did it all with humor and efficiency.... more

We happened upon the Trellis restaurant for lunch on one of our days touring CW. We went in because my son is a picky eater and they had hamburgers on the menu. I'm accustomed to eating in better restaurants but I didn't feel the food here was worth the prices in quality or quantity. We sat outdoors and it was... more
