I read the reviews prior to our vacation to Williamsburg. I should have known after reading very good reviews along with very poor ones, it was going to be a crap shoot. Unfortunately, our party had a terrible experience. Made reservations, but I don't think it mattered. Waited an hour until appetizers and salads arrived. That should have been a... more

Trellis Restaurant in Williamsburg VA, should be renamed Death by lunch. My wife and I have been going to the Trellis restaurant in Williamsburg VA for 12 years and have always had great food. Today 22 June we stopped in for lunch. We made reservations 1:00 PM reservations lunch. We arrived at 12:45 and were immediately seated. The restaurant was... more

This restaurant is so good, years later we looked forward to going back. The bread is fresh and to die for, crabcakes that are actually made of lump crabmeat and steak that melts in your mouth. Dont miss this little gem hidden among the shops in colonial williamsburg. We make a special trip to this place everytime we are in... more

We held an anniversary party at the Trellis for an extended family gathering. The manager was very pleasant and made every effort to meet our expectations all the way to reserving a private area of the restaurant for us even though we were a small party. The food was very good and the variety offered was excellent. Our party ranged... more

The Trellis is a fabulous restaurant that has decadent food and desert. I had the crab cake, which was a different twist in a good way. You have to try the death by chocolate cake if you even remotely like chocolate. This desert is extremely rich, but I recommend sharing it with others. I recommend making reservations for a Friday... more

Stopped here for lunch when visiting Colonial Williamsburg and we were seated right away. The tuna salad sandwich was delicious and served with fresh fruit. The chicken salad sandwich on dill bread was fresh and flavorful. Kids meal grilled cheese was a relatively healthy option, served on wheat bread with a side of fruit salad. Many diners seemed to be... more

Let's see to start, out we had a very long wait that was caused by a hostess who had no idea how to schedule and did not know what she was doing. That and being rude, we should have left then. It's a beautiful restaurant, physcially. But there is no heart, no customer service, no love of food. We had... more

Great place to dine in Colonial Williamsburg. I had asked the clerk in the bookstore about a place to eat and she immediately said Trellis. So we took her at her word and the six of us walked over to Trellis. We did have a 30 minute wait which wasn't too bad. We were seated next to the open-flamed oven... more

We visit williamsburg 2-3 times a year and I always wanted to try the Trellis restaurant, but with kiddos in tow I never had the chance to, until today I was there on business and decided to have lunch. I had the chicken breast lunch special for $13.95. which included a small salad and bread. The cost is was about... more
