Description: Sal’s by Victor is a family run restaurant specialized in both southern and northern Italian cuisine. We’ve been serving Williamsburg and the surrounding areas since 1974. The restaurant was originally founded by Salvatore (Sal) who named the restaurant after himself. In 1990 Victor acquired the business from Sal and decided to keep the name, while at the same time giving the “by Victor” touch.Chef Vittorio Minichiello (Victor) was raised on a farm in Mirabella Eclano, in the Avellino region of Italy. He studied food arts at the Culinary Institute of Summonte Italia and has worked in some of the finest eateries in Europe, including La Cheminee in Paris, Giardino da Bruno in Rimini and Partenio in Naples.Today, he is a member of the Italian Chef’s Association and brings his world-class expertise to Williamsburg. Our Most Famous Dish is “Cavatoni alla Capri” together with our famous “New York Style Pizza”. We have been voted as the Virginia Gazette’s “Best in Williamsburg” for Best Italian Restaurant since 1996.After the 2009 fire the restaurant remodeled and enlarged with hand chosen artwork from Italian artists, capturing the beauty of the Italian vistas and creating a small slice of the old country here in Williamsburg.Sal’s by Victor’s mission is to treat all our “customers” as our guests and to make sure they leave the restaurant with a smile on their faces and a full stomach. We take complaints very seriously and always demand that our staff provide the best experience possible for our guests. We firmly believe that there is no better advertisement than a positive experience conveyed via word of mouth.

Because everything is delicious and fresh, served to order. Friendly staff. We are from the northeast, so pizza is always important, and Sal's did not disappoint!! Great atmosphere, bring the kids.

While trying to decide on lunch on a Friday afternoon in Williamsburg, we ended up at Sal's. We decided to keep it "light" as it was a late lunch, so we ordered the garlic cheese bread and the large meat lovers pizza. Let's just say that 3 adults, a 12 year old boy, and 6 year old girl left the... More

I hadn't been to Sal's in 18 years due to moving away from Williamsburg but I wasn't disappointed at all in my return visit. We came in Saturday night with 3 adults and 4 kids 6 and under and were seated at a large table near the back- which was great for our 4 little ones to spread out and... More

food marvelous, service exemplary, wine list varied and good value; strolling accordianist very talented and personable. we are a group of very fussy (when it comes to Italian food) diners, and even we were impressed.

I expected a pizza place and found a very nice Italian restaurant. Nicely decorated, a large glass wine refrigerator is at the front lobby. The food was outstanding, perfectly spiced. I asked for some changes to the sauce which was accommodated with a big smile. Our waitress was attentive to our needs, we never had to ask for anything. Spumoni... More

We ate here on July 10th. I had a small pizza for myself and it was very good. My family had pasta and said it was also very good. Our waitress disappeared on us for a while, but was adequate.

We ate here on our first night in Williamsburg. We ordered pepperoni pizza and a meat lovers pizza. We were seated upon arrival, even though there was a large dinner crowd. Our server was attentive even with the crowd. We enjoyed our pizza, and the other tables' food looked yummy, too. Worth a try if you enjoy Italian.

I am a certified pizza snob and this is by far the best pizza in Williamsburg, VA! The customer service is ALWAYS excellent and the pizza is always fresh and hot with only the best ingredients. The price is great and the place is always packed! A must visit when headed to Colonial Williamsburg.

I am a tourist from Boston, Massachusetts and every year in the month of August, for 16 years I'm going to Williamsburg, to bring before my children and now my grandchildren to Bush Garden, Water Country and Virginia Beach for 4/5 giorni.Siccome I am of Origin, Italian, and a food critic, I had to find a quality restaurant to eat...
