Amazing Food!

We were just in France for three weeks, and the food at Cafe Provencal matched the quality of the two star restaurants where we ate in France. The Master Chef Ika Zaken was in fact trained in France and Belgium and was a Master Chef there for years before moving to Williamsburg with his wife who is... read more

Discovered this incredible place while looking for "Romantic Getaways in Virginia" for my wife's birthday late one evening. Dinner was excellent! We each had a difficult time deciding as it all sounded so good, other tables nearby with dinner already present made the choices even harder! We eventually picked things we said we'd share, but ended up being stingy with... More

A bit pricey but worth it. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. Started out with the crab raviolli. Delicious. For my entree I had the pan seared duck breast. Everything on my plate and accompanied party were outstand. A Def recommend.

The restaurant is tucked away in the lower level of the hotel at the Williamsburg Winery. It's not on the way to anywhere. You have to want to visit it. But the trip is worthwhile. The menu isn't overly extensive but there's something for everyone. We visited with a group of 6 and had the duck, halibut, chicken, rack of... More

My husband took me to The Williamsburg Winery for my birthday celebration weekend. We had another couple join us in the festivities and were looking forward to a fun and relaxing weekend. My husband arranged dinner for the four of us at Cafe Provencal. The food was good, but we did have some issues with our meal. My friend ordered... More

The trip from Washington was so worth it to eat here. This restaurant is divine! It's tucked away as part of the hotel and winery and it's: absolutely charmingly European without being gauche, cozy, beautiful, delicious, excellent décor, and comes with excellent service. John and Joshua were our servers and extremely hospitable, courteous and delivered 5-star service without being stuffy.... More

My husband and I were staying at Wedmore Place which is where the Cafe is located. So as part of a package to received a meal here. The food was good but potions were very small! It's not so much the restaurants fault but the resort. They need to make people aware that when they are eating as part of... More

4 1/2 stars. My husband was over the moon about his steak dinner, my grouper (a bit dry) was a little less exciting, though the vegetable accompaniments were very nice. Overall an excellent meal with delicious cocktails, wine, appetizers, and dessert, great service, and lovely ambiance. We look forward to returning!

Absolutely first rate in every regard. Never heard of this restaurant till we bought a package at the winery. Easily on par with any other establishment in the area . Creative and unique dishes, superbly presented with grace and ambiance, coupled with attentive personal service. Worth the drive from Virginia Beach.
