Unfortunately, the New Town Green Leafe closed recently. But, the original version near William & Mary is still a quintessential college drinking spot. A bazillion beer choices and really good bar food. And, lots of patina.

My husband and I went because we got a free lunch from our timeshare. When we walked in the door we found out that it was a sports bar. We were asked if we wanted to watch a particular game. Of course, that didn't matter to us. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I had some really... More

My brother and I went here for lunch before a movie at the theater down the street. My brother had a black bean burger, I had a mushroom/swiss burger. They were good, and well cooked. French fries were frozen, not freshly cut. I asked for unsweet tea and got sweet. Twice. Drinks sat empty before the waiter realized and came... More

I had a good experience when we visited on a pretty dead Thursday night, but it was totally different when we went on a Friday night. There was a DJ playing a pretty good selection at first, but he soon started playing the same type of music...and very loud, I might add. We could hardly hear our waitress, who was... More

Food is slightly above average and only reasonable if it's on special that night, such as half price burger or entree night. The hostess is always friendly and some of the wait staff are great while others leave a lot be desired. Beer selection is good but not so sure about the cleanliness of the taps. If you order a... Brief background: Locals, frequented this location over the last couple of years. Used to like lunches and dinners here, but our last visit was a disaster. We think something's gone wrong at the top level of management/ownership. Would not recommend to anyone right now. Our food was terrible, common beers were unavailable early on a weekend evening; it was just... More

My wife and I headed to Green Leafe for there 1/2 price burger night, and of course had burgers. My wife had a regular burger (green leafe burger), with cheese and sweet potato fries. She said she liked it but it was just a burger. I had the Kitty Hawk, which is a bacon cheeseburger with crab dip on it,... More

We went here after reading the website about their beer offerings which are very extensive (about 50 on draft and as many bottles) We went on Saturday night but they were not very crowded even though they had live entertainment. The singer was good and we enjoyed him The menu has many good sandwich and meal choices. We were 7... More

Our restaurant of choice was full today (July 6) and as this place was convenient we tried it. Hardly anybody in the place, which is a bad sign between 12 and 1 on a Friday! The decor is, well, eclectic (to be nice). Our waiter tried very hard to give us good service, and he was overall successful. Service was... More

My family of 11 came in and it was by far one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a restaurant. I used to be in the restaurant business for over 10 years as a manager, bartender and server... (I know how it is) and this was pitiful. The server was nowhere to be found when we needed... More
