A splendid restaurant with creative dishes that meet the highest levels of creation and preparation ... and not too many choices. We were impressed with the appropriateness of the plates and platters used for the presentation and the attention of the hostess. The restaurant delivers on the culinary end. The chef specializes in combinations of foods that work together in... More

There is nothing like Art Cafe 26. Not in a hundred mile radius. A combination of Art Gallery and Austrian Cafe. Bernhard Klinger the chef constantly surprises me with his desserts. Somewhere between the mint foam and the mango espuma I learned that the Austrians are the one people who an look the French in eye when it comes to... More

This was one of the best meals my wife and i have had. The food was excellent. The presentations were the most creative we have ever seen. The service was impeccable. The restaurant is small so we were able to talk and share with the diners around us. We were all impressed and had a great time marveling at the... More

Have been to this restaurant three times and it seems to have gone from very good to average. My wife ordered a salad that was OK and I ordered Wiener Schnitzel which I thought would be one of their specialties. I was very disappointed given the price I paid. Not planning on returning.

Sibilla and Chef Klinger continue to provide what may be the best dining experience in Virginia – definitely the best in Williamsburg. The chef's creations escape the realm of mere craft, becoming elegant pieces of art that leave you with a clear understanding of his vision. His cuisine combines classic flavors and methods from the European tradition, augmented by cutting-edge... More

ArtCafe26 is simply not to be missed while you are in Williamsburg, or make it a destination. My husband and I have eaten there around 7 times and it is simply one of the best meals we've ever experienced. The food, atmosphere, and care taken to ensure your meal is the perfect experience cannot be beat!

This was likely the highest priced dinner I’ve ever had. My wife and I had the four course dinner. She had the Pig and I had the fish. Everything was excellent but definitely unusual. I think it’s over the top when someone must explain each item on the menu and again when each item is served. It was an experience... More

There are wonderful meals to be had at artcafe 26 and we have enjoyed them. Thursday night light meals are not counted in this list, however. Very average, very expensive considering the menu. We didn't help matters by ordering wine. If you go, pick another night and you'll probably have a great meal

Hi Belluno_10, Thank you for your review and thank you very much for dining with us at artcafe26. You are correct, the Thursday Light Night Out menu is a different menu - more so an expansion of our lunch menu. We appreciate your feedback and your patronage. We hope you will come back and see us again for dinner on... More

Discovered the restaurant on Open Table and it did not disappoint. In a city where history permeates most buildings and businesses, artcafe26 is unique because it is very modern and minimalistic. The menu is limited because they only have the ingredients needed for that day and the menu changes daily. We reviewed the menu for the next couple of days... More

When we were walking around we were looking for a quick little snack place. This was a perfect place for that.....easy, not expensive and fun.
