Old School Italian

This quaint place offered traditional Italian food. We tried a variety of things. Most of what we had was good, but not the best we've had. That said, we probably would still go back again and do recommend it. Service was friendly, prices reasonable, and a great place to get your carb fix.

My family and I visited Williamsburg this week and we stopped in Francesco's to eat. Granted, many will probably say its tiny. It doesn't matter one bit the size of the place! The first thing you are going to realize is the Hospitality of the servers. Our server Cathy was probably one of the best servers/people that we had met... More

This was, without a doubt, the best Veal Parmesan I have had in the United States. I have ordered this dish in countless Italian restaurants, but none of them QUITE captured the same flavor and texture I was used to in Europe. What a pleasant surprise to find such an extraordinary meal in a small restaurant in Williamsburg! I will... More

Always a great place for an excellent meal in Wiliamsburg. Excellent service and food. We always visit here on vacation and always end up with take home boxes for leftovers. Consistently great service and entrees. Always a pleasure to visit there!

It is surprising how small the space is- with all of the great reviews, I would think that they will be looking to move in to bigger space soon. I would guess the place seats about 30-35 patrons, maybe squeeze in 40 if big parties sit close. All seats were full at 8:30 on a Saturday evening, but we had... More

Quaint little place in a strip mall on the main drag in Williamsburg. We had the veal saltimbocca and shrimp in a pink alfredo sauce. Very good. They also provide yummy garlic bread that is about the best I've had. Make reservations because they fill up fast!

I've been here twice for lunch on the recommendation of a friend, and this will be one of my "go to" places on Route 60 heading into Williamsburg from the west. The restaurant is in an unassuming strip of shops, and only has a handful of tables, but the food & service are worth the stop. The lunch menu offers... More

I first visited Francesco's with a friend back in November of 2014: we had been returning from a long Saturday in Richmond and decided to stop in Williamsburg for dinner. I grabbed my phone and found this place by a stroke of luck (we were specifically in the mood for Italian that night) -- we were not disappointed. It was,... More

After a long drive we arrived in Williamsburg on a damp, chilly evening. Then we went to Francesco's for dinner. The atmosphere was warm, cozy and intimate. Our server, Kathy, was friendly and efficient and the entire staff made us feel special. The food was quite possibly the best Italian cuisine we've had anywhere. I can't recommend this restaurant highly... More

Let me start by saying this is by far the best Italian restaurant in Williamsburg and likely on the entire Virginia Peninsula. I've been there 5 times. It was my wife's birthday and being of Italian descent, her favorite food. This seemed perfect after a visit to the DaVinci exhibition in town. Bruschetta Siciliana and mozzarella sticks (ever so lightly... More
