Great beer

Our 2 sons that drink alot of craft beer knew we were going to Williamsburg and asked us to pick up some beer. My one son said they were really good and said if we ever go back he wants more....

Located at the entrance of an industrial park. Parking is a little tight, but interior was nice. Nice wooden bar, a small outside patio, and friendly service. As far as the beer, well it was kind of mehh. I tried their Stout and the Brown Ale while a friend tried a White Ale. They were not bad, but I would... More

If you like craft beer, then you must visit Alewerks. They have a great selection of craft beer, and in my opinion, they are all good. They have a comfortable pub atmosphere and good service. You'll be glad that you stopped inn for a brew (or two)!

One of the great beer tastings in Virginia. Get there early and do a flight to try the set then go for the tour. Be sure to call ahead as tours can be limited. You do get to go next door and see their operation. The tour costs $8 and lasts about 40 minutes. You can also support your local... More

Stopped in with my dad, wife and sister on Father's day. We were about 15 minutes before the opening time but we're able to enter. The Full Metal Jacket was a flight of 10 beers of a wide range. Most were very good, a few were excellent and there was one I did not like. We had a great time,... More

We like beer and I really like Craft beer, so this was a natural stop for us while visiting Williamsburg. The location is off the beaten path, but not too bad. We waited way too long to be served and what we wanted had just kicked, so the staff recommended a different kind, which was very good. We only had... More

We have to visit Alewerks every time we go to Williamsburg. They are just finishing up on their new patio. It will be a great space when furnished. We hung out a while, tried some flights of various beers and while getting ready to leave we ordered a pint not realizing it was a glass not a bottle, of their... More

We tried a pint of one of their ales when we got there and loved it. We took the tour of the brewery and sampled 4 of their beers. We loved each one of them. That we had an additional glass afterwards and growlers to take home. They know what they're doing when it comes to beer. If you're a... More

Alewerks is our local brewery with a great product and atmosphere. Will be returning soon for more. A little off the beaten track but still right in the middle of everything.

Make sure you include a visit to Alewerks when in or near Williamsburg. I like the Chesapeake Pale Ale the best but many other choices are on tap. The tasting room offers plenty of seating and Hot Pretzels to go along with a beer.
