Great local beer and friendly staff

Cool little brewery kind of off the beaten path. Don't be fooled by it's location in an industrial park...it is worth the trip! Friendly staff and great locals place. We met a woman who was beer tasting her way through Virginia...came from Purcellville and was headed to Virginia Beach. Stopped in... read more

I've had Alewerks beers for years and have always loved them. The original tasting room was a small little room with a couple of taps for tasting. Now, it's a full out bar with a great lineup and reasonable prices. You can get a full pint, but we opted for several of the tasting pours (6 oz) to taste the... More

Great beer, knowledgeable staff providing skilled service. Have a pretzel or two. One of those places one must keep going back to as the tap choices keep changing. Though I am not a fan of barleywines, thier holiday braleywine is well craft, spice to be unique but not over powering. I am a fan of darker beers having a choice... More

A friend asked us to pick up some ale from the Williamsburg Aleworks. While there we tryed some of their products. You can buy flights of different ales and larger sized portions. The staff is friendly and helpful and you can also go on tours of the premises for a fee.

Always a great stop for large variety of beer in Williamsburg. The Porter, Tavern Ale, 20 Knotts, and Wheat beer are all very distinctive. Enjoy the beer!

The tour was informative and our tour guide’s knowledge of the products and history was wonderful! Seeing the brewery and the process gives an appreciation of microbrewery challenges, and it is this passion that comes through on the tour.

Don't let the location fool you! Just because it looks like its tucked into a industrial area please don't pass it by. They have ten or more beers of their very own on tap at any time. If you follow them on Facebook they have special release parties for their seasonal and partnership beers. They have light snacks like homemade... More

While visiting Williamsburg I have been able to sample six different beers made by Alewerks and they all have been delicious. My top two would be Tavern Brown Ale and Washington's Porter. Stop by the their Taproom and enjoy a pint or two. mmmmm!

This is a beer drinkers hidden treasure. Their beers have strong and distinctive tastes much better than most micro-breweries. Cozy & quaint tavern atmosphere.

We visited Alewerks for a midday filler. Although it's off the beaten path, it was well worth it. The beer was excellent with several varieties available. Their porters and pale ales are great. Definitely do the tour if you can. Although the brewery itself is small and does not constitute much, the tasting and history portion are more than worth... More
