Good food, reasonable

We ate here on a trip to the Shennandoah Valley at Christmas. The food was typical Tex-Mex, but eas done nicely and the service was quick and friendly.. No complaints. A great family site with plenty of good and reasonable food.

Our daughter was visiting her cousin at UVA. She spent the night with her at her college apartment so my husband and I decided to get a hotel rather than drive back to Hampton Roads. The closest vacancy we could find was in Waynesboro. Turned out to be good though. We just Googled restaurants and found El Puerto. We love... More

My wife and I took the kids here for dinner on a Sunday evening, and the restaurant wasn't very busy. We were seated right away and had plenty of time to look over the menu. The chips and salsa came out fairly quickly and were devoured. My wife and I ordered the Fajitas Texanas for two, our son got a... More

Not great. Not awful. Run of the mill cheap Mexican food. I want crazy about it but I'm sure I'll go back at some point. It's relatively cheap.

We were referred here for dinner by a local while visiting the area. The menu is extensive. The portions were large. The service was impeccable. The waiter arranged for the dessert we wanted even though it wasn't on the menu. We were surprised at how low the bill was compared to other places we have eaten and with the quality/... More

We found this restaurant while we were staying in this area before driving along the Blue Ridge Parkway... Ordered to go and ate at our hotel. Large portions and two of us ate for $13, so I thought that was a great price. Was a little hard to find as the apps took us to the old location.

We have been eating at El Puerto for years and it remains our "go to" restaurant when we want Mexican food. Menu is typical tex-mex and prices are quite reasonable (easy to stay under $10 a person for entre and no real need for appetizers as chips and salsa come with the meal.). Fajitas Texicanas and Arroz com Pollo are... More

The food at El Puerto is pretty good. As was the service and the atmosphere, but the price was a little high.

Just your basic Mexican food, nothing special, nothing outstanding. The ambiance was lacking. Perhaps it was there underneath the filth, but we never saw it.
