I have lived in the Shenandoah Valley for many years and have always taken friends to The Purple Foot for lunch. Meals have always been super good and the service is friendly. Love to eat outside in the spring and on warm days in the fall. My friends have always enjoyed the unique spot. The Purple Foot has been around... More

A very unique and great spot for lunch. I especially like setting outside in good weather. The food and service is very good. There is also a nice gift and wine shop to choose from. I've been going to the little bistro type cafe for years and enjoy it so much. It's one of my favorite lunch spots in Waynesboro.

This is a great place for lunch! Affordably priced and with a good menu selection. Be sure to eat outside in the cottage style garden. It's very peaceful with a water fountain and lovely landscape. The perfect setting to enjoy good company a glass of wine and good food!

Traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway we went looking for lunch and fortunately stumbled on the Purple Foot. It has a most interesting assortment of food, with a bit of a German influence; my wife had a great panini and I had a wonderful crepe. There was free wifi access which was a nice plus. In addition to indoor seating there... More

You can grab a healthier option here. Their hours are limited so check before you go (not your typical restaurant hours) Menu has a good selection, they take your order at the register and bring you your food which is a bit odd but works for them. Can't tell from the outside but they have a nice patio to each... More

After a frantic weekend at my alumni meeting, I introduced my lady to The Purple Foot. She had the quiche and I had one of my favorites, Reuben Pita to Pay Paul. Despite the fact the dining room was crowded and the patio was closed by the weather, service was very quick. We both enjoyed our selections. I can't stress... More

Determined to avoid fast food restaurants on our latest trip we did research on Tripadvisor for places along the way from Atlanta to DC. Not far off Interstate 81 is Waynesboro, VA and the Purple Foot restaurant (maybe 10 mins at most). Easy to find and see - it's purple. Like others have mentioned it's only opened for lunch but... I've had lunch twice at the Purple Foot. A neat place with al fresco dining, weather permitting. Great sandwiches with quirky names ...not so large you can't eat them. The outside patio is preferred seating... very secluded and relaxing. I don't know about other meals, but lunch is fun.

Stopped by for lunch last weekend. Only open from 11:00-2:00. Serves a variety of sandwiches on various breads. Had the seafood and chedder on croisant, interesting flavors and very fresh, my wife had the chicken salad sandwich which she thought was very good. Reasonably priced.ps my wife actually worked at this restaurant 34 years ago when we lived in that... More
