The Blue Rock is back! We hadn't been for about 6 months or so and then found the food to be so-so. As always the ambiance and views made it a pleasant experience. Now it is again more than that. We returned on the advice of a number of friends in the county who were very pleased with the menu... More

It was a pleasant restaurant that was close enough to The Inn at Little Washington (where we were staying for two nights). The views were lovely and the food was a little better than average. Wait stuff was attentive, but food and quality does not compare to the Inn.

Had dinner here for my daughter's birthday. We had a wonderful table set for nine guests. The guests included a baby and a service dog. The Inn was very accommodating to our needs. The waiter was very knowledgeable and the staff was quick to refill glasses and empty bread baskets. The food and service were excellent. I will return in... More

It probably didn't help that both the dining room and restaurant were quiet on the evening of our visit. Whilst the menu was interesting, if maybe slightly pretentious, I don't think the food loved up to it unfortunately. Our service was good though I'm sure if we had been there any longer she would have saluted! Didn't like the way... More

Found this restaurant by accident. Rockfish was very good. My wife's bison steak was even better. The sunset view was icing on the cake.

We ate in the bar as there was no one else in the restaurant. The steak was excellent, but the chocolate torte/gateau was dry and I suspect either old or frozen and thawed. (Finding the front door can be challenging in the dark.)

Fine dining with a great view. Our dinner was very good and the presentation was excellent. The service was attentive. We sat at a window table that overlooked a pond with mountains in the background. Great place for a romantic dinner.

Had great dinner at The Blue Rock Inn with excellent service. Would definitely return. You can dine in formal dining room or more casual area. We chose the formal area and it was quiet and tastefully decorated

Service is extremely attentive-maybe even too attentive. For diners that like lighter vegetarian options, this restaurant has a very good selection. food was generally excellent. We loved the fried oysters and the black eyed pea and parsnip rosti. the pasta fagioli was tasty but not particularly memorable. Cost was very reasonable.

Of the four entrees ordered by our party, only one was rated as "really good". Two fish entrees were described as overdone. Another entree was described as tasteless. The room and decor were lovely as were the grounds. The server seemed quite overwhelmed although the restaurant was not busy. I don't think we would ever go back.
