Lunch on the way to Charlottesville

Food was delicious! Had the crab omelet. The server was in-experienced and seemed to forget something at every table he had. Great atmosphere.

We stopped in for dinner and were generally pleased. The atmosphere is attractive, definitely not a chain restaurant. We sat on the balcony, which overlooks a parking lot and trash cans, yet was surprisingly pleasant Our salads were excellent, abundant and fresh. We each had fish, which was OK but nothing special. Their craft beer selection is good, and I... More

This is the 3rd time my husband and I have eaten at The Black Bear. The food has always been delicious and the staff is wonderful. The atmosphere is so charming and NOT your typical chain restaurant...which is why we love coming here!! We drive in from Northern Virginia to get away from the loud, overcrowded restaurants here!! The sweet... More

My husband and I decided to have lunch here. We were taken to a table downstairs and the atmosphere was pleasant enough. My husband ordered a Oyster Po boy which he enjoyed thoroughly. However I ordered a brick oven pizza. His food came out and the waitress said mine would be there shortly. My husband finished 3/4's of his lunch... More

We were a group of 8 celebrating my mother's 84th birthday and were there on a Saturday for lunch. Ambiance/room: We were seated downstairs in a room with a fireplace. There was another table of 2 people in the room and there were two empty tables. The room itself had a mildewy, stale and just plain funky odor to it.... More

Drove in off the highway on our way home. Found this place on yelp blood was good. I had the lobster Macaroni, which was an appetizer but enough for a meal. It tasted good but the lobster was skimpy. Our meals did taste good, but not outstanding. Also they wouldn't honor our coupon from yelp-they claimed they weren't on yelp... More

I like the food, and the service was prompt. The restaurant has a back porch seating area on the south west side of the building overlooking the parking lot, but which can actually be a decent place to sit and eat. Generally speaking, its pretty good, but has a slightly self-consciousness air to it.

I had heard such great things about this restaurant, maybe it built up my expectations. had lunch with some friends, the food was ok, but it wasn't great. i had the soup special and it was kind of bland. i will probably try it again, maybe they were having an off day. Our server was also a little hard to... More

Black Bear Bistro has a huge menu. It's almost overwhelming with all the choices, but the selection is sure to have something for all tastes. The other part of the restaurant, Brick, is known for the brick oven pizzas, but I've never tried them. I had a delicious piada, which is basically a wrap. It was filled with meatballs, sauce... We love to try local restaurants when we travel, and this was a lucky find in the heart of historic Warrenton. The food is really good, and it was hard to choose among the many interesting lunch items. Everything is fresh and homemade. Fried chicken was delicious! We enjoyed the great breeze on the outdoor deck, but there isn't much... More
