My husband and I were passing through Warrenton, and decided to stop here for dinner. The place looked nice, we were greeted promptly, but that's where the good impression stopped. I ordered the shrimp provencel, at $18.95. It comes with just 4 - count them, 4, two-bite shrimp. At this price, there should be at least 6 if not 8... More

Had lunch there with a work partner. I had the Concordia sandwich. It was okay, I list it as a high class "sloppy joe." The workers there were very friendly and seemed to have a lot of local regulars. If I go back again, I will definitly try something else. A $10 sloppy joe isnt worth it.

Great service, Bloody Marys, and only (as I recall) local Virginia Craft Beers on draught. We sampled several and they were all very good and a neat concept. We enjoyed eating out on the deck and it was a beautiful day. Food was very good, and the corn / lobster soup was the best. For some reason, in that area... More

The service was average and the food left something to be desired. Would not recommend this restaurant.

The service was great, but the food left quite a bit to be desired. I was there with a group. We had the sweet potato chips as an appetizer. They weren't uniformly cooked, so they were soggy in the middle--we barely touched them. I had the lobster mac and cheese which was okay, the burger was okay, and the steak... More

I've eaten here several times and really like this place. Everything I've had has been done really well. Their beer selection is diverse but not too big which I like. The ambiance is fantastic especially around the holidays when the fireplaces are roaring. The only criticism I have is their smoked chicken wings are a little small. They could really... More

I've had the delight of dining at Black Bear Bistro twice now. Each time the service was excellent and the food was great. When you walk into this cute, rustic little pub you are greeted by a warm staff who will be attentive throughout your dining experience. The prices of the meals are very reasonable, especially considering the high quality... More

Wife and I went here for lunch. The burgers were shaped a little odd, but they were really good. I would come here again.

We had a very nice meal at the Black Bear Bistro. The food is what you would expect at a pub, I had a burger and my husband had a fried shrimp po' boy, both were very tasty.

The food is great and the chef takes great care in the menu and obtaining local food sources. It also has a classic setting on Main Street in Old Town Warrenton. Here comes the 'but' - every single time I've eaten at Black Bear, the service has been horrible (I've eaten there five or six times for lunch and dinner).... More
