Pleasant local restaurant

Food fluctuates between average and very good, service is typically very good. The pizzas are good but pricey. Outdoor dining area is nice and dog-friendly for well-mannered pups...love bringing mine here. Wonderful in the winter as well since they have fireplaces in all indoor dining rooms. Something for everyone. Great burgers and pizza. Try to sit on the outside deck. Good local food in a nice, casual atmosphere.

The atmosphere was quaint and historic. The food and service were wonderful. The portions were large and we were very pleased with our overall experience. It is not a large restaurant but I didn't feel cramped.

My wife and I visited Virginia for a family wedding staying at an inn near the Black Bear. We had a great dinner Friday in The Cellar with Jackie as our server. She had good recommendations and descriptions of both the food and alcohol items on the menu. I left my ELP Chihuahua baseball cap. We returned Saturday, Jackie had... More

We finally decided to stop in here for a date night. We made a reservation online and on arrival they could not find our reservation, luckily I had the confirmation email so they sat us down in the basement. The service was downright horrible. Slow start for drinks and after we order our appetizer the waitress took our menus. The... More

We went here for pizza while staying at the Airlie hotel. The pizza was decent but the ceasar salad was not very good.

The menu has unique options and selections and I have tried many of them, unfortunately depending on the day the service and the food changes.

Debated stopping in and finally did. Prices were decent, food better than average for most places in town. Wine was great. Will definitely be back.

Really quaint restaurant in the middle of old town Warrenton. It has an upstairs and downstairs and many Virginia beers. The food is delicious, too. There is a cheese fondue as an appetizer and their salads are huge. I had the pork chops with an apple butter sauce and mashed potatoes. My pork was a little hard to cut. I... More

This place is turning into a regular spot for us. Mostly evening meals and drinks, but, more recently Sunday brunch. Menu items often changed for a variety, which I like. The food has gotten so much better than it was early on--I think they changed ownership or cooks. They have some very created dishes, but I love their oysters and... More
