The food and service are always good. The brick oven pizza is one of my favorites as well as the chili. Get a table downstairs by the fireplace for a nice meal with your friends.

We visited Warrenton on a rainy Sunday afternoon and this was one of the few places actually open. The main restaurant was closed, but the hostess asked us if we'd like to eat downstairs. After going down a pathway and some stairs, we arrived in the basement of the restaurant, whic his a pizzeria. It has a nice ambience, attractive... More

Stopped in for lunch with friends. Asked for cup of hot tea, when it was finally brought the cup had lipstick stains. When I finally got the servers attention and asked for a clean cup, they acted like I was imposing on them and it would be quite a chore to do so. Food was average at best. Will not... More

We were just looking for a quick, light lunch and came across Black Bear Bistro and decided to give it a try. The menu had some great items... Brunch menu selections were delicious looking! We each ordered soups... Lima Beans and Ham and the Vegan Chili and they tasted great and fresh! Chili didn't taste or feel like it wasn't... More

The four of us were from out of town and the waitstaff was not really paying attention while we ordering. Asked for cheese for burgers and that didn't have happen. Was told we couldn't get pizza but the table next to is did. Will not ever go back. Very disappointing.

Coming in from the west coast we actually hesitated about going here based on the TA server reviews...but it was Monday night and other places were closed...so 1. thanks for being open and 2. thanks for the great meal! Locals...give it a chance and for a server - ask for Andrea! She was a doll, went out of her way... More

Made reservations for 20 three weeks in advance for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Was assured the staff could handle our request. On arrival we were told there was no reservation. After several conversations with management it was discovered that our reservation was not transfered to the correct book . Since the restaurant was already booked, we were on our own... More

Stopped in here passing through, and went downstairs to the brick oven pizzeria. The Gouda bread bowl appetizer was fantastic, and the pizza was fabulous. The ingredients were locally sourced, the service was great, and the ambiance was friendly and welcoming. I only wished I lived closer so I could go in regularly!!!

We've given this place enough chances & we are d-o-n-e! Tried it for lunch & dinner & decided just to give up the ship. Lunch on one occasion was just so so, but service was bad. Called & wanted to talk with someone about possibly doing a rehearsal dinner for 30 ppl; they never called back. Couple weeks later my... More
