Service was great, pizza was terrible. We were so disappointed, even after the recommendation of a local B&B and the spiel from the server about the fresh, organic produce, etc. We left pretty much the whole pizza and no one bothered to ask why, and we were too tired to mention it. The late night snacks at the hotel were... More

Family meal at the Black Bear Bistro was meh. I had a calzone that was basically a few pepperonis and cheese in a rolled up flatbread. Pretty average and not what I was expecting. They did have gluten free pizza but it was again, average. The chicken pot pie was interesting, it was kinda deconstructed in a way. Everything was... More

I reviewed this place a while back. Since then there have been many changes to this restaurant. For starters they stopped using those small wings which I was happy about and I still think their wings are the best in town. The rest however I can't be sure of. This place doesn't seem to know what its direction its going... More

Almost do not know what to say. My food was good. Cauliflower soup and a gyro. My daughter thought her chicken sandwich tasted off and could not eat it. My sister thought she was ordering pastrami and it ended up being salmon so she was highly disappointed. Our waitress was nice but out of sorts. No spoon with the soup.... More

My family and I are local. We have been to the Black Bear Bistro several times. Each has been more disappointing than the last. The service is abrupt, lackadaisical and lacking knowledge of the menus. We were actually told certain things on the menu were not good. The chicken fingers we ordered for our child were fried to an inedible... More

The lobster macaroni and cheese is fabulous! BBB carries local brews, you may taste if you wish before making a selection. Very diverse menu, locally sourced, I've seen chef Todd at the Farmers's Market on Saturday mornings.

Our group went here for dinner following a recommendation from the reception at the holiday inn. Really quite disappointed. The burgers were very plain and uninspiring, the homecut fries not nice at all. One of our party had the fried chicken - boneless thigh that was dry and chewy. The 'vegetables' amounted to 4 very small asparagus spears and 1/2... More

We sat on the patio outside which was nice. The waiter was pleasant and efficient. We asked what the soup of the day was and he said chicken gumbo. My wife order the half ham and cheese sandwich with the gumbo. I ordered the fried meatloaf sandwich with Demi glaze and grilled onions and gumbo. The gumbo came and it... More

I went with family for Sunday lunch - service was very good. They kept the drink refills coming. Most everyone had burgers (they have a papa, a mama, and a baby burger so you can order the right size) with home made fries. One had pizza - a special version recommended by the waitress which was excellent. I had Mediterranean... More
