Decent Pizza

We went here for pizza while staying at the Airlie hotel. The pizza was decent but the ceasar salad was not very good.

The menu has unique options and selections and I have tried many of them, unfortunately depending on the day the service and the food changes.

Debated stopping in and finally did. Prices were decent, food better than average for most places in town. Wine was great. Will definitely be back.

Really quaint restaurant in the middle of old town Warrenton. It has an upstairs and downstairs and many Virginia beers. The food is delicious, too. There is a cheese fondue as an appetizer and their salads are huge. I had the pork chops with an apple butter sauce and mashed potatoes. My pork was a little hard to cut. I... More

This place is turning into a regular spot for us. Mostly evening meals and drinks, but, more recently Sunday brunch. Menu items often changed for a variety, which I like. The food has gotten so much better than it was early on--I think they changed ownership or cooks. They have some very created dishes, but I love their oysters and... More

Service was great, pizza was terrible. We were so disappointed, even after the recommendation of a local B&B and the spiel from the server about the fresh, organic produce, etc. We left pretty much the whole pizza and no one bothered to ask why, and we were too tired to mention it. The late night snacks at the hotel were... More

Family meal at the Black Bear Bistro was meh. I had a calzone that was basically a few pepperonis and cheese in a rolled up flatbread. Pretty average and not what I was expecting. They did have gluten free pizza but it was again, average. The chicken pot pie was interesting, it was kinda deconstructed in a way. Everything was... More

I reviewed this place a while back. Since then there have been many changes to this restaurant. For starters they stopped using those small wings which I was happy about and I still think their wings are the best in town. The rest however I can't be sure of. This place doesn't seem to know what its direction its going... More

Almost do not know what to say. My food was good. Cauliflower soup and a gyro. My daughter thought her chicken sandwich tasted off and could not eat it. My sister thought she was ordering pastrami and it ended up being salmon so she was highly disappointed. Our waitress was nice but out of sorts. No spoon with the soup.... More

My family and I are local. We have been to the Black Bear Bistro several times. Each has been more disappointing than the last. The service is abrupt, lackadaisical and lacking knowledge of the menus. We were actually told certain things on the menu were not good. The chicken fingers we ordered for our child were fried to an inedible... More
