I had a wonderful meal complete with bbq salmon in guava sauce, maduros, black beans and rice, flan, and a traditional mojito. I enjoyed every bit! Do not underestimate this little place next to Subway! It's great cuban!

This is a popular spot with very good food. It gets crowded and because it is so small they don't take reservations. I had paella it was so good. They also have great mojitos. Don't miss this place.

This was my first intro to Cuban/Puerto Rican..and it exceeded my expectations. Very small place so it took a moment to get table for 10 but it was so worth the wait. Empanadas...awesome. Mojito...good, I would have liked more rum. We ordered almost every sandwich and entrees....excellent. Bread pudding and banana cheesecake with Carmel sauce...yumm!!!!! Go there and you will... More

OMG, I'm so angry that I've been to VA Beach four times and just found this spot! We had all three empanadas, the Cubano sandwich and skirt steak with chimichurri sauce. Also the traditional mojito and the guava. Everything was fresh and delicious. Skirt steak was crisp on the outside and juicy inside. Pulled pork on the Cubano was flavorful... More

The Mojito Cafe is a minimalist delight. Eight tables in a room the size of a two-car garage, with the kitchen providing workspace for the cook. Maybe. The Cuban-inspired menu fits on one side of a laminated card, of course augmented by the blackboard that everybody can easily see. The food itself is really very good. Among the best available... My wife and I enjoy eating out a lot, so we thought we had been to most of the really good restaurants in Hampton Roads. So when some friends told us about their great experience at Mojito Cafe, we were very interested to try it out. We must have driven or walked past the cafe dozens of times and never... More

The restaurant is small and unpretentious. Our wait for one of the only eight tables wasn't long and with a deck with benches outside the entrance the wait was comfortable. We had the fried plantain appetizer served with an interesting garlic sauce -- very good. The fish tacos and the pulled pork entrees were delicious. The staff was great. It's... More

The food was definitely worth the wait! When we arrived the host told us it would be a 15-20 minute wait to be seated. I guess she estimated because she had just given a table their check and she would seat us there once the table exited. To make it short- the people continued to sit at the table for... More

Reviews were right-most likely would have passed right by because it doesn't look like much. Food was very good, servers were attentive-glad we had the opportunity to enjoy.

A small, unpretencious, and wonderful place is what we found at Mojito Cafe. Nice staff and very good food. We loved the paella, the garlic shrimp and their beef chimichurri, but the star of our meal was without a doubt, the bread pudding which I am sure I will be craving for years to come. I may have to come... More
