I was in Virginia Beach for business and pleasure (brought family the weekend before the conference). This place has a real local feel to it, just look at the ceiling (local art work) and walls. Not a fancy restaurant but great food and value for it. The specials change daily and are great. All the seafood we had was excellent... More

You can't judge a book by its cover. You can't judge a restaurant by walking by the front window. We were sent to this restaurant by our time share local desk staffer. Was he on the perfect wave length. He gave us a 15% coupon and a heads up on lobster on Thursday night for $15 but we had to... More

Fried shrimp & hush puppies are the best!!Service is friendly-they always have time to stop & chat a bit. Everything served in a timely fashion. Will go back again when in Va. Beach. Thanks, Frank & Becky!!!

When we go here it's usually for breakfast and we get the crabmeat omelette which is so yummy. I've been once for dinner and had their all you can eat fried fish and they are not stingy on their servings of fish they bring out to you. The first plate they brought out of fish I thought, "What in the... More

Nick's is a local's place that you'd probably not opt for unless referred, and then you'd go back again and again. An older restaurant, it's a mainstay for old-timers and locals "in the know." Great food, extensive menu, decent prices.

If you are visiting the Virginia Beach area, your visit is incomplete without eating at Nick's! It's not only the best value in town but you can also be assured of a healthy, well cooked, satisfying meal. Once your order is in, expect to be greeted with the best hush puppies Virginia Beach has to offer!! Hands down!! The menu... More

Nick's does not stand out as the place to go for seafood in Virginia Beach. However, we were given a tip by several local residents and decided to take a chance. We were very pleasantly surprised. The crab chowder is excellent. The seafood meals are not fancy, but taste outstanding. Prices are very reasonable and much lower than the other... More

Great food and service. Went on a Sunday afternoon, really wanted to try the dinner menu but other commitment led us to Nicks around 1pm. We had the Hatteras chowder and the clam chowder for starters. Both generous portions hot and tasty. 3 of us shared from 3 lunch platters of fried shrimp, fried oysters and a HUGE flounder sandwich.... More

A place the locals visit. Not loud or trendy; just fine food and good service. Priced right too. Off the main streets but convenient to hotels.
