My entire family enjoys Doc Taylor's - it is fun to meet there for breakfast - the food is delicious - the atmosphere quaint and the service outstanding. The history of the building is interesting as well. If you are in Virginia Beach - breakfast at Doc Taylor's should definitely be on your itinerary!

This is definitely where the locals hang out on the weekend. Because they all hang out there, the wait time can grow to 1hr and a half to 2 hours. That is when they open the bar next door for mimosas, bloody marys and greyhounds while you wait. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is what brings locals back... More

The dishes have cute local icon names, but a grilled ham and cheese is hard to screw up. They did! The underside of my was more than just soft, close to mushy, while the top was nice and crisp. If something on the plate had moistened it, it was no longer apparent.

Went on a weekday with a friend and almost missed it, since it looks like a residence from the outside (hint: look for the tiled dolphin holding up a glass of wine in the front!). Beach casual; diner atmosphere once you arrive. Friendly staff all around. The food & service was FANTASTIC! Bloody Mary is a "must" as well...many friends... More

Enjoyed our breakfast and the atmosphere. Outside waiting area leaves something to be desired. Be careful sitting on the outdoor benches as you could fall through. Overall good value, good food, good service. Would for sure go back. Wouldn't wait more than 30 min for a table though.

It is okay for breakfast, but Kalamata olives in the menu should not equate to canned black olives in my omelet. Happy they offer organic eggs.

Doc Taylor's is great if you want some morning booze. They do a happy hour during breakfast for cheap rail drinks (you can also upgrade the liquor for almost nothing if you don't want rail). In addition, they have some great food with plenty of variety. Doc Tuttle's French Toast is usually my go-to.
