I am of a fan of this dish and cannot get it at home. I order it often on the east coast. But, this was by far the best presentation and the best price, also!. $7.00! Also, fabulous service and a fire in the fire place when it was 10 degrees outside! ::smile::

Can't believe I waited over an hour to get breakfast on a Sunday morning but it was worth the wait. Jessica, our waitress, was very nice and was right on time with the drinks and food. Loved the Parmesan Tomatoes. Eggs, bacon, everything was good. Our second time as out-of-towners, but a place we will try and stop each visit... More

Great atmosphere, very clean and friendly. Food was great too. Children's tenders and fries were awesome but price is steep for a child's menu item. Lunch was great with many children's options. We had lots of seafood and all was very good. We also had the crab dip appetizer and it was pretty good as well but would rather them... More

Busy place, bit of a wait for a table. We opted to sit at the kitchen bar instead and watched the Chefs prepare the breakfast. Ton of fun! Portions are big, food is perfect breakfast fare. They do lunch too. Considering how busy they were wait was just fine, it's an old house with its of interesting things to look... More

Doc Taylor's, though I've reviewed them before, deserves another. We've been going there for a couple years, but more recently several times a month since last spring for breakfast and lunch, primarily the former. They do not serve dinner, but their sister restuarant next door, Tautogos does and it's scrumptious. Went there last nigth! At Doc Taylor's, it's great food... More

I came on a Sunday morning & it was an hour wait. Luckily I came by myself & was able to be seated at the counter immediately. The wait staff was friendly & helpful. The 4 cooks were fun to watch. They all had specific duties & worked well together. You could tell they enjoyed their job. I ordered the... More

I can’t believe I waited over an hour for a Sunday brunch plate of eggs and pancakes. And then I did it again… And I know I’ll do it again, and again. They do make the wait quite tolerable with the lounge next door serving up the Bloody Marys and Mimosas while everyone watches for their beeper thing to go... More

The place was packed when we went. It's my understanding it's almost always packed. But that's not a negative remark, that's a reflection on how great the food is. You get what you pay for, it's fair priced and the mimosas are delicious! The BEST place to have breakfast

As other reviewers have noted, Doc Taylor's can get very busy any time of the year since it is popular with locals and tourists alike. We enjoy the old VA Beach atmosphere and great breakfast offerings. You might have to wait for a table, but after that the food comes out petty fast.
