Delicious breakfasts that won't break the bank

Oh my gosh, Doc Taylor's is a must if you visit Virginia Beach! The worst thing about the restaurant is the long wait (if you go as a couple you will wait extra long because they don't have many two-person-only tables and will not seat you at a larger table). The food was terrific. Large portions... read more

I dined at this restaruant earlier this week. Everyone raves about this place but I don't understand why. The food was ordinary at best. Hash browns from a carton can hardly be called "exceptional." I was a bit disturbed by the cooks constant comments of, 'It's hot outside, who orders biscuits and gravy?' I had the sweet potato pecan pancakes,... More

Not much more to say than what's in the other reviews. Standard breakfast menu, tasty sandwiches, cozy atmosphere.

We had a 1 hour wait for brunch on Saturday morning. We heard the food was amazing so we grabbed some $2.50 mimosas at their sister bar next door and waited on the patio until your number was called. I have to say it was def worth the wait. The Staff was amazing and recommended we go to their sister... More

We were camping and hubby wanted to go out to breakfast, so he looked up o the computer and saw Doc Taylor's was good for breakfast so off we went. Seated quickly, you could see business men at two tables, and a family at another. We had a nice table and our waiter was quick with the water and our... More

I like diner's. Doc Taylor's has a good menu selection and the food was as good as any diner. We got to Doc's at 8 a.m. on a rainy Friday morning. We were seated per our request in the enclosed porch. Nothing bordering on elegant. The service was good. I had a short stack of blueberry pancakes with a side... More

Great locals place. Definitely need to do the brunch with fast service (although the place is packed, and there is a bit of a wait for a table, and it can get loud with all the people there, which I don't mind at all). If you are looking for a quiet, serene atmosphere, don't even think about DOC Taylors, because... More

Came here on a sunny Monday morning with an out of town guest. Sat on the patio and had Heidi as our server. She was fabulous. We had scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, and biscuits- all cooked perfectly. We ended up lingering over coffee and tea before walking the boardwalk and Heidi graciously refilled our cups, we never felt rushed.... More
