We decided to try it after reading the reviews here and it did not disappoint. It was our family's first time having Greek food and we loved it. We started with the sampler and potato garlic dip and then we had moussaka, pattisio, spanakopita and the mahi. Everything was delicious and my children enjoyed trying new things. Our waitress was... My wife and I were married I Greece so the opportunity to taste original Greek food in Virgina Beach is a blessing. We went to Ammos were immediately seated and greeted by Andrianna from Bulgaria. The staff is what can make or break a restaurant. Andrianna was great. The food was served in a time fashion. It was delicious. WE... More

We love Greek and will try establishments when we travel. We ordered the Sampler, a bit pricey @ $19.00, but worth it. The Sampler was wonderful, hot fresh and tasted homemade. The Tziki is bland which is a nice compliment to the flavor explosion of the other items. The meatballs were wonderful. On to the main course. We ordered Gyros... More

In new quarters, the restaurant has a clean and spacious dining room. The staff seems new, young, eager and enthusiastic if not experienced. We started with saganaki, which was absolutely delicious with the Greek merlot. My husband enjoyed the meat lovers platter, a huge entree with tasty meatballs, highly seasoned sausage, standard gyros-joint meat, and fairly tender chicken and beef... More

The food was good, atmosphere was good and the waitress was very nice. Problem is the restaurant is hidden in the back of a building and street advertising in almost non-existent. Add to that the road work being done and you kinda have to know its there or you'll miss it

We very nice interior, great service, and the food was really good. Highly recommend getting a bunch of different plates for the table. It was a nice respite from the dirty, grungy places at the beach.

Arrived early for brunch! First people there, so we received extra attention from the staff. However as others arrived, they seems to get an equal amount. I had a gyro which was excellent! The meat was moist and tender, not dried out like I have had many times. Excellent sauce and fresh greens and vegetables. My husband had moussaka which... More

My husband ordered a gyro platter, since it is his favorite. We were shocked when they brought a 4 pieces of frozen gyro you get from any local store and cook at home. How authentic that can be. You can get gyros from a food stand better than this

On a cool and foggy Wednesday evening Madame and I had a fine Greek feast at Ammos. Pastitsio and Souvlaki were the stars of the show, but we also really enjoyed the dolmades we had as a starter. There were good wines to be had, as well, at very good prices. On the night we visited there was a very... More

Nice atmosphere, good food. Gyro meat is NOT authentic! There are better choices in the area for Mediterranean cuisine.
