Excellent Family Restaurant

The best no-nonsense family place in VA Beach - where they make you feel at home - even on the first day you come in. Great food - excellent people.

I heard about this restaurant from Diners, Dives and Drive-Ins. Guy speaks the truth! A local hangout for a very long time, the service was awesome, the food was wonderful. I was on vacation for a week in Virginia Beach and made this restaurant a stop twice for dinner. Will go here again!

Great prices and great food. This is a quaint family owned and run place. We as locals go there at least once a week. If you're looking seafood from a place where the locals eat it...go to the Beach Pub. The wait staff is friendly and the food is delicious and reasonably priced. If you are expecting a swanky restaurant... More

Every time I come to Virginia Beach I have to stop by the Beach Pub for a great meal. Of all the dishes I have sampled I had never ordered the Clam Chowder. I have had Manhattan chowder, but prefer the New England style. Lately though it seems everyone is making it too rich with loads of cream and butter.... More

It's been a long time since I visited the Beach Pub and for the life of me I can't figure out why. I stopped in for a business lunch and was very pleasantly surprised. The interior is the same Beach Pub it was years ago, very relaxed and casual. There is a separate bar area for later in the afternoon....... More

What can I say. I looked for Diners Drive in and Dives to find somewhere to eat. Was Guy Fieri on Crack that Episode! Steamed shrimp were over cooked with cheap shrimp sauce. All the seafood tasted the same. Greasy. My Steak I'm sure was not steak. How can you overlook and dry out a medium steak? The cashier asked... More

This place was a great recommendation. We had a Rugby team, coaches and parents. Service was outstanding, Joanne, you are a Saint! The U-peel shrimp rocked, plump and delicious. Fried soft-shells were fabulous and couldn't stop 'til they were done! This is a definite "must do" in Va Beach. We treated the team and coaches and it was very reasonable.... More

I ate there for brunch on 4-18-15. This was my first time to this restaurant. I ordered the backfin crab omelet. It was outstanding and better than I had imagined. To be fair, I do not eat brunch out that often, so I can't compare this dish to many other restaurants, but for me, it was the best omelet I... More

When you are on a road trip driving from Canada to Florida, and you are a foodie, whaddaya do? Du-uh!! You go to Guy Fieri's Triple D show archive of course and see where you can eat along the way. This was one of 2 places I picked for our Virginia Beach stop. Sadly we arrived somewhat late (8-ish) in... More

Visiting my family, we went to this little place for lunch. On Laskin Road, a short distance from the Atlantic Ocean, this small place has plenty to offer. I asked our very friendly server "Liza" what she would recommend and she said everything is good. I thought to myself this is a good start. Then I asked what the local... More
