My friend recommended Captain George’s Seafood Restaurant for dinner. I was greeted by friendly staff and introduced to the 70 items on the buffet. The buffet had some quality items, namely the salmon, crab legs, shrimp, and hush puppies. Unfortunately, most other items on the buffet were overcooked or under seasoned. I really didn’t think the quality of the food... More

The food was always warm and plenty to choose from. you You get your moneys worth.Nice that we went there in the off season because this place holds 1000 people and in season it is always packed and a... I was told I "must try" this restaurant by several locals and hotel staff and was not disappointed. The seemingly endless options of seafood and dessert options were I think well worth the $32 for the buffet. They do offer giveaways, promotions, and specials if you Like them on Facebook so take advantage of that. They also have a sports... More

We asked the desk staff at the place we were staying to recommend a seafood buffet. Both people responded enthusiastically that we HAD to go to Captain George's! For $34 per person (which does NOT include a drink) you get a huge buffet. Problem was, the food ( as my husband put it) was just a cut below mediocre. There... More

Ok so let me start out to say my husband and I arrived an hour and half before close. Almost all the food was old or almost out. A few things were put out, but not anything I was eating. I was extremely disappointed since I have been to the one in Williamsburg (always good). The main thing I came... More

so much food! It was so fresh and tasty Very clean restaurant and service was outstanding. Explained where every thing was and were checked on several times even though it was a buffet. Restaurant was well lit so you could see every thing. I hate dark restaurants definitely would go again.

Whenever you go to the beach you always save money for that one restaurant that has it all. In Virginia Beach Captain George's is it. My family had a wonderful time and before we left we had adopted our server Michelle into the family fun. Food was good and there was lots of it.

Well worth the price for all the delicious seafood you get. When you go, you'd better be hungry. Everything here is great.

Unless you're someone who loves a variety of not fresh seafood and loves it fried, then keep your money in your wallet. Did I mention it's not fresh seafood? Most people go for the crab legs but they are so small the effort is better spent elsewhere. 35 dollars a person is alot considering there are so many fresh seafood... More
