The is a very nice posh place. The food is good but it is overpriced and overdone. My sliced tuna greek salad was tasty and key lime pie was good. However my husband watched a big cockroach run across the floor which really ruined his experience and he was already feeling disappointed that his $30 lobster tail was so puny.

We are locals to Va beach and enjoy this restaurant year round. Be prepared to wait during peak summer tourist season as the restaurant sits right next to King Neptune and a bandshell that often plays free summer concerts so it gets packed. The restaurant is located on the bottom floor of the Hiton. It has outside dining with heaters... More

Even though they are busy at Happy Hour the staff does a great job stopping by yor table to see if everything is good and the food prices for happy hour is great with LARGE servings of everything

We have dined at this restaurant several times over the past few years. The location is great. Views of the ocean from most tables. The bar area is lively at night. Outdoor seating with a firepit for chilly nights. I recommend the New England clam chowder and crab cakes. The sweet potato fries are better than regular fries. Variety of... More

Expensive but very worth it! Had the tuna and champagne by the glass. We were reminiscing with an old friend and the server allowed us to linger beyond the meal. The Christmas tree in the lobby was one of the most elegant and beautiful I've ever seen.

We have patronized catch 31 many times over the years. Great Bloody Mary's, great happy hour prices, tapas is very good. Meals are a bit expensive. If you stay with the specials, tapas and happy hour you get a great deal. You cannot beat the view and atmosphere. You can sit in doors or our. Often times there is a... More

Been to Catch many times over the years. The food is ok, nothing special. The happy hour crowd tends to be older. Typically, you see local singles and visitors staying at the Hilton or other oceanfront hotels at the bar. Usually, its an older crowd in here trying to pretend they are still in their 20s. I wouldnt recommend it... More

The corn chowder was scrumptious. My husband didn't care for his entree at all. The food was pricey, loud guys in there hollering and laughing on a Saturday night. The waiter was slack on refilling drinks. I would recommend going when it isn't busy and your experience should be great.

i asked several locals the best place to eat local oysters. Catch 31 was unanimously the top choice by most everyone I spoke to. I must say our party of 6 ordered all 6 types of local oysters by the 1/2 dozen, we loved them so much we ordered another full round. Best oyster I have ever had was the... More
