Great atmosphere, food was delicious, and waitress was attentive. Price was closer to $$$ than the precious listing as $$.

Visiting on a holiday weekend made it nearly impossible to get a table. A 2 hour wait wasn't ideal. Hostess and waitstaff were wonderful. Ordered a Bloody Mary, spinach & artichoke dip with crab (amazing!), James River oysters (came with onion & vinegar which many restaurants don't provide), and The Beachcomber- all delicious. Also ordered the Ahi tuna for dinner,... More

We decided to try Catch 31 since our hotel was on the north end this year. We decided to stay late at the beach and walk down for appetizers after seeing the restaunrant lite up the night before. The atmosphere was great. In the summer, there are gazebo bands playing along the board walk and there is one situated right... More

My wife and I visited on July 5th. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We ended up creating our own seafood tower with John's help. He made the evening much better with his knowledge and guidance. We were happy to point that out to Lars. We love to come here when in town. Hope to be back soon! Worth your time... More

We visit Catch 31 every time we go to Virginia Beach. It's in a great location on the beach and has lovely covered outdoor seating. The tables are not packed together, which meant that there was room for our stroller to sit next to the table and for people to still be able to comfortably walk by. The calamari is... More

Thank you for your great review of Catch 31. I’m glad you enjoyed the calamari as we take great pride in its preparation. We bring it in fresh from Rhode Island, marinate it in buttermilk and bread it right before frying. It’s a noticeable difference from the frozen stuff so many restaurant serve. I truly appreciate that you would recommend... More

Although it was very busy the evening we were there for supper, our waitress was very attentive. Our food was delicious! We had calamari, clam chowder, lobster tail, and mahi mahi. All of which were delicious. Especially the chowder and mahi mahi! It was a little expensive, but we felt it was worth it. We sat inside, but there was... More

Catch 31, located in the Hilton Hotel on the Oceanfront, was spectacular. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by several hostesses who wanted to whisk us away to a fabulous dining experience. We arrived before 5pm so we were offered a scaled down menu. However, the offerings there were still worth the wait. The soft shell crab... More

I’m glad you enjoyed your meal at Catch 31 that you felt it worthy of a great review. I was especially happy to see you were able to enjoy our soft shell crab as the season is ending soon and it won’t be available fresh for a while. We’ll see you again soon I hope. More

We had the chowder and salmon - best chowder ever! They bring bread and butter upfront, butter is a special honeybutter - makes such a big difference. The athmosphere is great, although a bit on the fancy side and a bit expensive, but it's worth it!

I appreciate your being such a loyal patron of Catch 31. We try very hard to please a wide ranging clientele and children are definitely a big part of our summer dining. Our kids menu hits all of the high notes and many times we have children ordering off of our normal menu as well. We’ll see you again real... More
