Heard of the Beach Bully by word of mouth and decided to give it a try the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. The line was rather long when walked in but we where committed to staying. This gave us time to review the menu and make our selection, which can sometimes take me forever anyway, we also scanned the resturant... More

We were blown away! Almost didn't find the place, but when you go in your are very well received. Menu is concise but extremely good choices. All fresh stuff! Ribs - great. Chicken - great. BBQ sauce -outstanding. High rating from very picky people. Even my daughter was very happy!!

This past week, my boyfriend and I were in VA Beach for our vacation. He loves bbq, mostly ribs and we were told by the concierge in our hotel that this would be a great place to try. We ordered a bbq chicken sandwich and and an order of ribs with two sides each, mac and cheese and string beans... More

Best brisket with burgundy sauce in town. A little expensive, but what restaurant isn't lately. Good deal with the value check coupons. Get the hush puppies and homemade fries.

Had high hopes, but left disappointed. Nice decor inside and friendly staff, but my BBQ brisket sandwich was lacking flavor for me. The meat was also not as lean as I like. The sides we had (fries, coleslaw, beans) were all ok but nothing to rave about. I miss the BBQ I was able to get living in Texas and... More

As you visit for the first time, it may be a bit confusing at first as there's a podium/hostess thingy at the entrance, where you don't know whether you get seated or.... But you walk forward and order/pay and the food is brought to you while you wait. I noticed multiple people walk in and appear confused briefly as well.... More

Went here while on vaca a couple weeks ago and it was awful! The brisket was dry and reheated. The mac and cheese was mush and flavorless and the green bean were canned! Don't waste your money!

A friend suggested Bar B Que for dinner, which sounded good to me because I had not had any in a very long time. I used my phone to locate to nearest restaurant and was very pleased to discover that there was one close by at the beach. I called, placed my order and went to pick it up for... More

We've been here several times and love the Carolina - style pulled pork sandwiches in particular. The brisket is excellent as well, although a bit on the sweet side for my taste. The meat is fabulous, and the service is cheerful and efficient. Downsides are price (on the high side for BBQ in my opinion) and little details that go... More

This is by far the best BBQ in Virginia Beach. Local place without a lot of glitz, sit-down or take out. Catering for a few or hundreds all done with excellent service and top notch food. May have to wait a few due to volume and everything cooked as you order, but well worth it. Prices are great also. There is... More
