Great view... Ok food.

We had lunch here today. We wanted somewhere on the beach and since we were staying in the Hampton Inn we decided to go downstairs. It's OK for lunch. I had the steamed shrimp for an appetizer while my girlfriend had the she crab soup. My shrimp were good. It's hard to mess up steamed shrimp. My... read more

We arrived at the outside entrance to the restaurant and noticed a line. I walked around to the entrance inside the hotel while hubby and kids waited at the outside entrance. I asked the host how long of a wait for 4 people (while staring at several empty 4-tops and several 2-tops) and he said only a few minutes. So... More

They were exceptionally responsive and accommodating when I needed to arrange a rehearsal dinner for my sons wedding. I was extremely impressed with the level of personalized service, and thrilled to have found a venue on relatively, short notice. This should have been a warning sign, in hindsight. The atmosphere was very nice, with white linen tablecloths, candles, and they... More

We went downstairs for lunch because it was convenient. What a lovely surprise. The food was excellent! The service was a little slow, considering there were so few customers, and a bit more than I would have liked to pay for lunch, but we thought the food was worth it. May be the best crab cake sandwich I've ever eaten!

French fries were cold, hamburger was undercooked and tasteless, calamari was cold and chewy, and the salmon did not come as was written on the menu. Wait staff was friendly but disorganized. Way too expensive for what was on the menu.

After a frustrating journey to the beach it was nice to eat at the hotel restaurant rather than going out to find somewhere else. It was quiet at 8.00pm and we were seated at a window table. Not being very hungry I ordered the she crab soup and a small house salad. Although it was just warm the soup was... More

Ate here Friday in the midst of some hotel drama. The service was great! I'd like to the say food was fabulous but I found that it was just ok. Not bad...I mean there wasn't anything wrong with my meal it just wasn't anything super special :) which is fine...not every meal has to be super special. I'm mostly writing... More

We eat out often and know good from bad. We ordered she crab soup for all. It is a staple of Virginia Beach. How hard can it be to make sure the soup is HOT? It was sent back to be heated but taste was fine. One entrée of pulled pork was also tepid and not barbequed like normal. A... More
