Good Food Lovely Staff

The restaurant is a quiet seaside retreat. Our waitress was very welcoming and informative. The food was delicious. I had the fried catfish with jambalaya and fried green tomatoes.

This was the most expensive, yet least impressive restaurant we have went to during our week here. I had a pork chop with 1 side for $20. The pork chop was bland, but my wife's shrimp salad was good. The server was good. It was a place we now have been there and done that. Won't do it again.

The food was bland and the service was terrible. Not what you would expect at a restaurant with high prices and a good reputation. There were 5 of us celebrating my Mother's birthday and the waitress got every order wrong, failed to bring some of the items and 4 of us that could eat what we were brought were finished... More

Really nice place-- great seafood, wonderful view of the beach, fine atmosphere, great service. Dinner for 2 consisted of scallops & catch of the day for one and fresh catch with orzo for the other. The total was around $80 with tip, but no drinks. So it's not for the faint of wallet. But the fish was great and well... More

If you have not visited Lynnhaven Fish House in awhile you should give it a try. New chef Jim Reis has brought a creative update to a long time beach favorite with some great new additions to the lunch and dinner menus. Today at lunch I had the Spiced Salmon Burger on a toasted Brioche Bun with Soy Aioli Candied... More

My husband took me here for my birthday because I had heard so much about it and loved the idea of sitting with a view of the beach. The service was ok but I have to say for the premium prices, I was a bit disappointed. Overcooked seafood is a big no-no and dry food in general is just stress... More

We were advised by our hotel to eat here, and they were absolutely right. The food and service are second to none. Our server was very friendly and very attentive to our needs. No pushy get in get out here, casual and a real value.

My husband and I were visiting VA beach and wanted a nice fresh fish dinner. We both had the special sizzler dinner which was brought on an iron skillet atop bok choi. Waitress drizzled a sesame, soy sauce over the hot fish hence the sizzle. It was delicious. I had the salmon and my husband had tilapia. Both were delicious.... More

I had the opportunity and pleasure to visit the Lynnhaven Fish house restaurant. The food was delicious, I ate the soft crab and we split an appetizer of BBQ bacon wrapped shrimp, I highly recommend both. Our server was very attentive and she was very pleasant too. I will definitely return here if I'm in the area.

We were looking forward to our dinner at the Fish House since all of our previous visits there were great. But last month was a disappointment. My husband and I agreed in advance that he would order the fried oysters and I would order the fried scallops, then we'd trade a few of each. My scallops were large, tender, and... More
