On Chics Beach...where the locals go, I was told?

Second visit. "Family" owned atmosphere in dining room ($$$). The pier seating was cool (food so-so), great view of Chics Beach. After dinner, we walked onto pier for a picture and bait shop lady next door came out and said, 'it costs 4.00 each for you to come out here. Petty.

Excellent food and services. Great view of the Chesapeake Bay. Very clean and AC in the restaurant. The hush puppies are excellent.

Food was good but the staff was one of the rudest I have encountered. We asked for a split bill and got seven pieces of bill with no way to tell who was charged with what. When we asked for a simplier bill our waitress said she thats just how they did it and she didn't have the time to... More

Ordered a seafood dish "pick 2" Oysters and Scallops was my choice. The oysters were very small... "Clam" size. Food was "warm" meal cost $28... Very disappointed. Made mention of my disappointment to the waitress... no follow up .. only agreed with me..?? Portions and quality of food has been much better in the past... Disappointed with the quality and... Great seafood restaurant away from the crowds. Good service and good food. We are used to great seafood restraints at nc beaches and I his was the closest to it near VA beach!

The Lynnhaven Fish House is the one place I always eat without fail when I go to Virginia Beach and it is always great. Lunch prices are a little better than dinner, but for the quality, the prices are not outrageous. The She-crab soup is absolutely the best in town and their crab cakes are tender and delicious, full of... More

I've been here before and was just put off by the price. I had not realized how relatively rare it is to find excellently prepared fish and crab cakes with a great view. There was free valet parking and a bill for two with one drink and two deserts at just over $100 including dessert. It's difficult to find but... More

Ordered oysters rock as a table appetizer and it was so very overcooked. Dinner was sesame ahi tuna and it was awful. Again, dry and overcooked. Dinner was served very very hot. Perhaps it was forgotten under the grill. Too many wonderful fish restaurants in the area and not so pricey. Drink of vodka and tonic was served in a... More

Evidently most people make reservations. We lucked out and got here late enough that we only had to wait 20 minutes. Food was very good (and I don't even like fish!). There were 8 of us and we had lobster, soft-shell crab, scallops and flounder with a mango salsa. I had the best mojito drink that I have ever had!!... More

Try the crab cakes - they are delicious. Beautiful view right on the beach. Have never had to wait. First class service.
