Located minutes from Chesapeake Bay on the water is One Fish-Two Fish. We offer an alternative to formal dining, it's what we call "fun dining." The atmosphere is "upscale without the uppity." This unique feeling is created by a casual waterfront environment with boat access. The restaurant is centered around the Exhibition Kitchen with panoramic views of the Bay. The menu incorporates a blend of California style with fresh, local seafood. The wine list focuses on "boutique style" wines and is consistently recognized with the Wine Spectator "Award of Excellence." Stephen Michaels, owner, and his staff strive to make this venue high energy but still elegant. The only thing we overlook is the water. See you there.

We discovered this gem in VA Beach 2 years ago and when ever we visit, we come back because the views of the canal, sunset and beautiful boats and yachts are worth the drive away from the oceanfront. AND most importantly the service, ambiance and food are worth every dime. Our most recent trip was 2/21/15 and we were welcomed... More

Went there for drinks and appetizers with a friend this past weekend. 2 drinks each (cosmos) , 2 appetizers (tuna tataki and 6 oysters) to share and the bill was $80. No longer will be on my list of places to go. Far too expensive for me.

I took a group from work to One Fish Two Fish. The food was excellent. The service was superior. And the location is great, right on the water way. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, although it is not inexpensive...it is worth it.

Back in November I had the pleasure of having dinner here. The location is spectacular as is the food. I had fantastic crab cakes and a great soup. If I ever end up in Virginia Beach again I will definitely be back.

We were in VA Beach for one week as our daughter could not travel due to her work and kid. We took our grandson with us to this very good restaurant on the water close to our daughter's residence with option that if grandson will create problems, they will come and get him. It was grandma and grandpa's date with... More

I wanted to reach out to you and thank you for the kind review. I'm so glad you enjoyed your meal, the ambiance and that you received great service. I did want to clear up a misunderstanding. At the bottom of your receipt, there is a promotion for New Year's Eve. We use this space to alert guests to upcoming... More

We were a party of eight with two children. Our food was delicious especially the rockfish and flounder. Our service was excellent. We had a wonderful visit with our friends and their children.

I used to eat here a lot and had drifted away over the last few years. The bar scene is much quieter now but the food is still consistently good. The service is good, not excellent but sufficient for a good restaurant. The fish and beef entrees are both very good, the flounder is typically a favorite. Not the cheapest... More

This lovely restaurant has restored my faith in good food in Virginia beach this evening. Having had some truly awful meals of late locally we were not expecting too much but were very pleasantly surprised. Everything about this place is just right and NOT over the top. Table settings are not fussy. The service is not too obtrusive yet staff... More

It's a very nice restaurant, but not so much of a seafood place as the name would suggest. Went with some friends who told us it was "moderately priced". Entrees were $21-$30+ and included no salad. Service was certainly adequate, but not over-the-top. All the food was excellent; I got the fried flounder which was a generous portion and totally... More
