Excellent food and service

Since this was my first time in a pho restaurant, the vegetarian spring rolls looked a little strange to me, with a clear coating on the outside. Fortunately, they tasted great. I also ordered the Bún Chay, which is stir Fried tofu, carrots, broccoli and mushroom over vermicelli. It was... read more

I decided to try something different than the usual seafood places in Virginia Beach. I have never had Pho before so I was a novice. I tried the rolls made with rice paper. The outside wrapper was a little rubbery, but this is only the 2nd time I'd had something like this. I then had the most popular pho #4.... More

We came here on vacation because we love Pho and saw an ad for this restaurant. The menu is extensive with Vietnamese selections. The Pho selections are very good and the base broth was very flavorful. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys this food.

Pho79 has some of the best Vietnamese food we've ever had. Their menu has many choices, and for those with food allergies they offer gluten-free and dairy-free options (and you can't tell the difference in the taste!). They have a

After we took care of our errands for the day, my wife wanted to stop at Pho '79. It's a Vietnamese restaurant. We pulled into the parking lot and parked in one of the many vacant parking slots. We entered the restaurant. This is a "seat yourself" establishment, we picked a table by the corner. As soon as we sat... More

This place is tucked away from the boulevard. The food is very tasty and the atmosphere is quaint. The meatballs are not ti 'mt liking but everything else is outstanding. Can't wait to go again next week. DELICIOUS.

Real deal Vietnamese food in a clean and inviting setting. Lunch special of appetizer pho & bahmi sandwich is ridiculous. For $8.95 you get a full size sandwich and a bowl of any pho. Great quality and the bahmi bread is as authentic as it gets.

My husband and I decided to try this place today. It was crowded for lunchtime. Our food arrived in about 10 mins. We both ordered the same meal, Pho Ti, Nm, noodle soup with round steak, well-done flank and brisket. The broth was very flavorful! The side of basil and sprouts were fresh. I honestly couldn't tell the difference between... More

We enjoyed very good Vietnamese food and very friendly service recently at the new store opened by this same group on General Booth Boulevard in the Strawbridge shopping center. They had converted a so-so Chinese restaurant site into a welcoming, sort of open space type design. It's a bit unusual with the tiled roof inside that looks like it's Mexican,... More

One of the owners served us today, very humble and friendly family. Had the rice noodles with kebabs, mixed meat. Lots of fresh veggies and very cold beer. Vietnamese food served at it's finest. Located by the Farm Fresh next to the Strawbridge movie theaters. Definitely worth a try, especially for vegetarian minded folks.
