Old School Steakhouse

I visited with my wife and adult son for the first time. The decor has the appeal of an old school steakhouse. The service was excellent despite being a very busy Saturday night. We enjoyed a dozen excellent raw oysters and some she crab soup. Wine price and selection was good (2 bottles Chilean... read more

We were just looking for a decent meal and stumbled on the Aberdeen Steak House on our drive back to New Jersey from Florida. It is located on a busy road and just looked like a quick place to get a steak or sandwich. Upon entering, we realized it is an upscale place and the prices sure reflected that. We... More

Excellent food and service. Live music! The tables are a little close together, so don't go for romantic ambience. Go for the I"so tender and juicy you don't need a steak knife or A-1" steak! And the shrimp kisses are scrumptious. It's like stepping back in time - in a good way - the time when servers were dressed nicely... More

The abience was not what I was expecting. It was a fine dining restaurant but family friendly. Thankfully the lightinh wasn't dim like at other fine dining places. The prices were as to be expected for fine dining but the food was delicious! They had a new appetizer, shrimp kisses, that were wonderful. They were slightly spicy but favorful. The wait... More

When we walked in we were impressed with the decor and ambiance of the place. For such an expensive, classy looking place you might expect the water to be filtered but it tasted like city water to me. I had the French onion soup and it was fine but I have had better...in fact, Appleby's is better. To be fair,... More

This is my first visit to Aberdeen Barn Steak House. Old time restaurant dark and a lot of wood walls. The food was very good but way to much, I could only eat half and had the rest as take out.The menu is steak and seafood for the most part. I'm glad I did not get an appetizer, I would not... More

Took the Casino Clams as a starter, it was great! The steak was even better. Sat at the bar, the ladies behind were very friendly and real pros. Glad I went there, will go back for sure.

A group of us were in town and some had been here before so we decided to go back. The food was great ( except for one putrid oyster). Solid steak house for the carnivore. I am definitely going back when I visit in March. Well worth the price. The bad: The wait staff were a little awkward. I chalk... More
