Had lunch there yesterday with my wife and another couple. Mostly outside dining so you need to pick your weather carefully. Had their Hatteras chowder which was unlike most I have had before. Very different twist, but also very tasty. The chicken salad plate was very good though I must confess I was well over 50 before I had eaten... More

We coupled a lunch and dinner out while we were down from Williamsburg. The place was quaint and pretty tight but the service was great. We enjoyed our lunch and would like to come back when it's not so busy.

This was our third or fourth visit to the Leaping Lizard. It's about an hour's drive from home, so it is a commitment for us to make the trip. We took my parents there a week after Mother's Day because we couldn't get together on Mother's Day, and it was their first trip. They mostly choose mid to upper scale... More

My son will want to keep it secret, but this place is great for breakfast and lunch. The outside seating is best--inside too crowded. Don't miss the organic veggies in the farm stand in back.

We had a horrible first impression when we walked up to host (outside) and we were ignored as the host greeted 2 sets of people still getting out of their vehicles. We asked about certain diet restrictions and was told 'you would know better than me'. That would be impossible for a customer to know ingredients of food prepared there.... More

Nothing better than outdoor seating at the Leaping Lizard on a nice spring or fall day. The food is wonderful, everything made fresh and probably a lot more healthy than we'd like to know. The chicken salad sandwich is the BEST. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this place for a casual lunch at this friendly, quaint... More

Our friends saw this place on a Food Network show, and wanted to go. It's a cutesy little establishment with a friendly staff. The food is oriented towards healthier fare, with an emphasis on using freshly caught, local seafood. I had the Crab risotto, and my wife had the Quinoa salad. Both were delicious, but neither were spectacular. If you're... More

The staff prepared sweet potato biscuits for our event and worked extremely hard to make them perfect. They were incredible and enjoyed by about 100 people.Thank you again for your hard work and a 95 year olds wonderful event.
