Food OK, Nice experience

My husband and I went on a Friday night in November. Hardly anyone in the restaurant . Our chips were served warm, and the salsa was not too spicy (mild), which suited me just fine. My husband ordered the $6.99 winter special dinner combo (which was usually $11.99, so that was quite a savings). If... read more

We had dinner here and it was very good. The atmosphere was very family friendly. And it is affordable..

Ate here last weekend, the service and food were both great. I got arroz con pollo and it was displayed attractively on the plate. Generous portion also. This was the first time I had ever seen peas and carrots in Mexican rice though. The atmosphere was also good. I would eat here again.

I'm not going to waste a lot of time on this place. If you value your hard earned $$ and want to have a pleasurable dining experience look elsewhere. This place must survive simply by it's beach location because the food was a disaster. The wait staff we're nice and attentive. The bar needs a real mixologist I ordered three... More

I can't speak to it during high season but it was a great spot to stop during off season--winter special of $6.99 for a nice combination platter. Jennifer was a great waitress, the white sauce for the chips was wonderful and we were very happy we stopped here!

They started us with great chips and salsa, and the meals were excellent! Latin food has great vegetarian options, and they feature potato and spinach in their tacos, tostadas, and burritos. The spinach was delightful and the potatoes had a great grilled flavor. An excellent meal. The service was wonderful--very prompt and attentive but not intrusive.

What is it about Virginia Beach that it doesn't have a decent real Mexican food restaurant within walking distance of the beach hotels? There's Guads (we found the food lacking flavor), Cactus Jack's (sorry, but a real Mexican food restaurant does NOT serve crab cakes), and Baja Cantina (a dive bar, not a Mexican food restaurant). So, when we happened... More

Visited VA Beach for labor day weekend with family and friends. Stopped here thinking it would be a good eat. Wrong. Waited 40 minutes to get seated. Ordered food. Waited al.ost 2 hours to get our food. That arrived cold and bland tasting. When we complained to Mgr he just said he had a bad staff. Guess what weren't the... More

Food and service was great, margaritas were exceptional - go for the top shelf, 28oz'er. Tell the server its not strong enough - the bartender will send a shot of tequila with the margarita, lol. Family of six, reasonably priced, good selection, chips and salsa flowed, well looked after, oh and eat outside - the foot traffic and street are... More

The service was ALMOST as awful as the food. Would have rather eaten chips and salsa for my meal. Food was cold, taco meat tasted burnt and bland. Waitress was rude and inattentive, had to flag her down at least three times for refills. Will never return, very disappointed.
