Cozy and Tasty

Very small place in a strip mall that's easy to miss. Skip Outback next door and come here instead. Maybe the best meat lasagna I've ever had. Service is a little slow and tips must be in cash for some reason.

Second time there. I had the Vitello Alla Colombina, Dry and sauce was not creamy, had a vinegar taste. Son had meat lasagna, which was burnt and not tasty. Nice size though. The side of pasta also was bad and watery. The only thing that was good was the spaghetti bolognese. Place is nice, clean and small and staff friendly.... More

A great family owned and operated Italian restaurant. Great service and great food make Pulcinella stand above the rest. We had a party eight and made a run on the menu. From appetizers to desert we had few duplications in our choices. I sampled five appetizers and soups all were great. My dinner choice was a PIZZA MARGHERITA -Tomato sauce,... More

I visited this restaurant with friends on Dec 6th (2014), I ordered a salad with fried calamari and tiramisu for dessert. OMG, the tiramisu was superb! The salad and calamari was average. A small "mom and pop" environment with menu selections, a deli and desserts (to die for). Service was exceptional. I dined with a group of people I work... More

This Italian restaurant is tucked away between a popcorn store and the Outback Steakhouse in Kemp's River Plaza. The food is authentic Italian and when I say that I mean made by folks from Naples, Italy. Our waitress, Gabriella (the daughter of the owner), was a delight and extremely knowledgeable about the menus and specials for the day. Our food... More

I've lived in VA Bch since 2008 and as far as I can remember this is my first visit to this establishment. I'm kinda bummed I didn't stop in sooner, the only previous attempt was during peak dinner hour and the place had too long of a wait. Turns out... I shoukd have waited. I had the Italian Wedding Soup... More

Life is all about choices. I made the right one for lunch today. Grilled Pasitano Turkey sandwich w/ sundried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, provolone, lettuce, and tomato. Fresh bread and fresh ingredients. You must try this small restaurant in the Kemps River Shopping Center. Awesome!!

A small mom and pop restaurant hidden in a shopping center is a real jewel. The sweet sound of Italian can be heard from the kitchen as you wait for your traditional meal. Some say to leave room for the dessert and it is true here. Lemoncello cake is offered topped with sweet whipped cream and it is worth every calorie.... More

Some of the best little places to eat are in unexpected places--Pulcinella is no exception. Wanted to get a decent lunch before getting a flight at the nearby Norfolk Airport. Was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of the food given the typical strip mall surroundings. Expectations were surpassed beginning with fresh bread and dipping oil seasoned with garlic and... More

This small storefront Italian restaurant located in the Kempsriver Shopping Center, boasts an authentic Italian fare with a Neapolitan accent. The menu is varied with dishes ranging from simple pasta (Penne Al Sugo) to more sophisticated fare like Pollo Scugnizzo and Veal Saltimbocca. The restaurant only seats about 40 patrons and the wait staff is rather small (only 2 waitresses... More
