Prices are High - Portions are Huge

There really is nothing negative to say about this place EXCEPT they seem to be on the cheap side. When I asked them to package a doggie bag for me (there is no way a human can each the amount of meat they give you), they charged me for two slices of bread to go with the significant meat that... read more

We were really excited about finding this deli. The staff was very friendly, and the service was good. The restaurant is very nostalgic and you can tell that the owner believes in going over the top on everything. If you are thinking about going here, definitely consider looking at the pictures first. It was a must visit.Amazing cheesecake pics. The corned beef... More

We stop here every time we visit Virginia Beach. The pastrami is to die for. The breads fresh, everything is oversized and delicious.I could never go to a Subway after eating at a place like this, not even once!

This was our second visit to this off the beach deli and it was a good as we remembered. The 6 of us when for lunch on a Wednesday. The portion sizes are huge - and the quality of meat and food items were outstanding. We ordered the Ruben (two of us shared), Chicken breast, chicken salad, and chicken fingers... More

Sandwiches are way overdone, much too big for anyone to eat. The quality is good, but prices are high. I like a New York Deli as much as anyone, but this one is just too much.

At the Route 58 deli, they've tried hard to duplicate everything about being in a NYC kosher deli. They didn't succeed in that -- the kosher delis in NYC aren't as good as the Route 58 Deli. Our party of 3 were seated quickly, order taken, delicious and HUGE sandwiches brought promptly. We piled on a takeout order for matzoh... More

We went to Route 58 Delicatessen expecting traditional New York deli food, and that is what we got. The walls were covered with pictures and decor of New York. I ordered a bowl of matzo ball soup, which at first I thought was plain, by appearance, but the taste made up for it. It wasn't salty at all and was... More

Huge obese sized tasteless sandwiches. Not my style of diner. Over priced. Would never eat there again.

This deli thrives by serving humongous portions of meat on their sandwiches. I am not a fan of overstuffing sandwiches with meat, but this place has built a following by doing just that. The quality of the deli meat is good, but the portion is ridiculous - this is something they brag about, with the wait staff's shirts reading "If... More

This deli had one table left when my friend and I arrived on a Sat. afternoon. We both got a small sandwich with the Greek salads. The salad was the best Greek salad that I have ever eaten and I had eaten them in many places around the world. I got a pastrami sandwich. I asked for lean and added... More
