Great food and HUGE portions. One sandwich is enough for at least two people. Also try the smothered fries. French fries smothered in gravy. How bad could that be!?

My family and I tried this deli on the recommendation of my son and his wife. It did not disappoint. We had their famous Ruben and split it between 3 people. It was the best I've ever had-- and I've eaten Rubens across the country. We also ordered the potatoe cakes which were delicious. And then we ordered 3 desserts--2... More

I have no mature way of describing what I just experienced. My husband and I have been searching for a place like this since we moved to the area from Chicago. For deli aficionados it's manny's deli meets the bagel with Carnegie desserts. Reuben's are piled high, the nova lox is spot on, and the knish is the perfect crust.... More

My wife is from the Bronx and is a pastrami connoisseur. My corned beef on rye was juicy, mile high, and lean. My wife had a huge pastrami on rye that she believes was the best she ever ate including all her NYC deli experiences. The prices were a fraction of Carnegie and 2nd Ave NYC Deli and food better... Definitely worth coming in and experiencing this quality deli sandwich. The pastrami, corn beef and brisket are top notch! A little intimidating because they sound huge, but you'll be surprised how much you'll eat because they are just that delicious!

Amazing deli sandwiches, reminiscent of my days in NYC. The pastrami was lean, the turkey well seasoned and roasted. Make sure you go hungry as the "small" sandwiches are packed with 1/2 pound of meat. I highly recommend the Russian cabbage soup ( better than the mushroom barley or matzah ball). The potato knish is terrific. Save room for dessert,... More

Route 58 Delicatessen is as good as the best NYC delis (I.e. Katz's). One difference: the Route 58 Delicatessen staff is a LOT nicer! Outstanding pastrami.

I would favorably compare the Route 58 Deli, located in Loehmann's Plaza in the Thalia area of Virginia Beach to any of the New York Deli's I have visited. The sandwiches, especially, are massive and true to the quality of a good New York deli tradition, and I have made this observation in an earlier review. This was my third... More
