I went during lunch because I love a great deli sandwich. The place was busy. The service was very good as was the ambiance I was expecting based on the above an outstanding meal. I ordered the two meat sandwich on rye, with corned beef and pastrami. The sandwich was delivered on a timely manner which suprised me. I was... More

I've never been to a New York Deli so I don't know what to expect, but I grew up in Chicago and I know good ethnic food. Route 58 is wonderful, from the menu selections, to the photos on the wall, to the waitstaff, to the cooks. Half the fun of going to Route 58 is reading the menu and... More

Plenty of food, my roast beef on sourdough was excellent. The Rueben was enough for 3 people with corned beef and pastrami. Our server was attentive. It was a bit pricey but we didn't go away hungry.

Yes, this is a small place and the seating is limited, but it is always well worth the trip! Don't let the individual meal cost scare you .... The portion size is so gigantic that the average person can almost always get two meals out of each single meal! Wayyyyyy too much food ... Lol! Flavors are great, people are... More

Decent sandwich, but dont let the pics fool you. The meat is piled high in the center of the sandwich, but tapers off real quick. The Corned beef was fantastic. However, the prices are extremely well beyond reasonable. $15 bucks for a deceptively stacked "mile high" sandwich with no fries, chips or any sides at all? $5 bucks for a... More

I got the groupon and though wow I will save a buck or two and get a great meal. The meal was ok but for the four of us to have lunch pay 15.99 times 4 and the total bill to still come out to 67.00 after a 30.00 discount is confusing to me. I didn't do the math and... More

I've been here before but not in a few years. It's very crowded and hard to get a table. We got in and food was superlative. The service was slow, but there is nowhere south of Carnegie hall to get this kind of pastrami.

My daughter and I were going through Tripadvisor looking for a casual place for lunch while at a field hockey tourney at the beach. Route 58 deli caught our eye and I am so glad it did. Don't get sticker shock....food is worth every penny in quantity and quality. We had a turkey club that wS full of good turkey... More

We had an amazing waitress and the food was amazing. It was us and another couple along with our two year old and they were very busy but spent great attention to us and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely come back again once we digest the huge portions they gave us.
