Unassuming restaurant that offers great food!

I've been to this restaurant at two separate occasions and each time the meals are perfect. The first time I had a vegetable lasagne, which has been my benchmark ever since. The lasagne was moist and tender and delicious. The last time I had a pork chop which was perfectly grilled and tender... read more

We were in Virginia Beach for the Art Show and found this wonderful restaurant. It is not on the boardwalk but just a short walk from our hotel via the boardwalk. We sat outside and had a wonderful meal of Mahi Mahi and if you can handle the constant noise of the jets from our wonderful Air Force protecting our... More

Second time here -- will not miss it when we're here again. We come to VA Beach annually for a weekend, and EAT is at the top of our restaurant list. A small place, lively and with great servers who are easy going and clearly proud of the food they serve. Oh my -- the coconut curry soup with lump... More

It is a low key restaurant and it is located in a motel towards the end of boardwalk (correct me if I was wrong). Not a great location compared to other fancy restaurants we had tried on the beach. What impressed us was the food, we had several today's specials and a couple from standard menu. All came with great... More

We had a large group celebrating an event. Service was good as was the food. I had the soft shell crab entrée and it was delicious. The escargot appetizer with bone marrow was quite tasty as was the chocolate dessert. Had some great beer choices as well as numerous top shelf liquors. However I was disappointed they did not serve... More

This place has got to be the TOP bistro in the Hampton Roads area! AMAZING service and the attention to detail of the wait staff is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Found this place randomly searching for good quality places to eat. EAT is two steps ahead of "Pacifica" on the adjacent corner as well as a few other area bistro's... More

It is sometimes hard to determine if a five star restaurant on Trip Advisor is "nice" or not. I'm going to make things easy for you: This is a nice place. Leave the kids at home. But you don't have to dress up uncomfortably. It's not stuffy. Just fun and modern with food with interesting flavor combinations that is played... More

If you're looking for good food, a friendly atmosphere, and quality drinks then stop here. We visited on a Saturday night. The staff was accommodating even though closing time was quickly approaching. The Seafood Paella was excellent and my wife thought the White Cosmo she drank was a perfect drink and made her think of summer. You should stop in.

What a great place! First time visiting but heard lots of good things over the years but finally made it in. We had reservations as it is highly recommended with the small venue. We both had the Rockfish special at $31, pricey, but well worth it. Various appetizers and meals passed us throughout the night and it all looked exceptional.... More
