Description: Local favorite that is great for visitors as well. Great breakfast right on the water at the Rudee Inlet. Was recommended to us by some locals and overheard at least 2 other people telling other visitors to go there during our 5 day stay. Great lunch and dinners also that feature daily blackboard specials. All desserts are homemade. Seafood, fresh meats, produce and dairy are delivered fresh everyday.

This place is small, but the food and service were great. It was a rainy night, and there was a wait, but everyone was very accommodating! Family friendly atmosphere too.

Overall we enjoyed our meal at Big SAMs. The menu is very extensive and the emphasis is on fish and very nice it was too. The mahi mahi was nicely cooked. 3 small complaints stopped it getting a 5* The coleslaw was a little watery, meaning it was a little old I hate drinks served in plastic glasses The whole... More

We love the food at Big Sam's & it is in a convenient location with good views. The interior definitely needs a good cleaning & some major renovation.

The Best She Crab Soup!!! Entree was Excellent, could have been a little more plentiful for the price of the broiled Seafood Platter, Excellent just the same!

I am a huge fan of good local restaurants and I enjoyed an amazing breakfast with my wife. Nate, one of the cooks, did an awesome job with suggesting new York strip with eggs and the pancakes taste amazing. Will be going back soon. Nate deserves a raise!!!

Big Sam’s is a great place for fresh seafood and great drinks. We had lunch on Friday and Saturday at this place. On Friday we had their crab balls which are basically mini crab cakes and they were full of lump crab. We also had their chicken wings, double grilled and they were huge chicken wings! On Saturday we came... More

Visiting from the UK and out walking when we stumbled upon Big Sam's and decided on breakfast. Turned out to be a stroke of luck as the breakfast was great, the service just as good and the location is really cool. If you're passing by, stop off and enjoy!

Big Sam's is a no-frills seafood shack. The she-crab soup is some of the best I have ever had with plenty of lump crabmeat. Crab balls are delicious, drizzled with a spicy cajun mayo sauce. Yellowfin tuna was a disappointment, served in very large chunks over a bed of stir fried veggies. Would recommend you stick with the soup and... More

We had a large party of 18 and they were able to take us very quickly. The service was good and the food was also good. The restaurant could use a bit of updating and a good cleaning. It is a bit run down but seems like a local favorite. Overall I would recommend if you are looking for something... More
