Night out

I wanted to surprise my husband and take him somewhere different. The Cellars far exceeded our expectations. The staff was was and welcoming. Everything from our appetizers, main course, dinner and deserts was perfect. We made reservations for Valentine's Day 2016. This is a true gem.

The food was mediocre- my main meal was snapper- a dish I raved about at Tautaugs a few nights before- here it was nothing special. When we ordered our appetizers, we were told that the smoked salmon was being permanently taken off the menu, so we chose the ban ban shrimp to share. My husband also ordered the crab bisque... We had an excellent dinner at the Cellars. This is a real surprise for Virginia Beach which tends to have conventional, touristy seafood houses. The crab soup and tuna tartar appetizers were delicious and an excellent take on some classic recipes. The scallops and osso bucco were fabulous. The wine list is varied and well chosen. The prices reflect the... More

We were a party of 6 who shared a wonderful dinner. The Caesar salad was outstanding, they add white anchovies and artichokes. I has the OssoBucco which was out of this world. The service was attentive and helpful. Now they need to work on their espresso making skills. We are all " foodies" and would recommend The Cellars to those... More

I ate dinner at The Cellars earlier in the month and it was awesome!! The crab fettuccine was probably one of the best dinners I've ever had. I'll definitely be back soon.

Excellent customer service upon arrival that continued throughout the night! Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We relied on her suggestions for our appetizers all the way to dessert and we were not disappointed at all. We will definitely return!

This is one of the best kept secrets in Virginia Beach. Tucked away in the Church Point neighborhood it a small restaurant with a B&B place. The ambient is so amazing, the staff so knowledgeable and friendly and when you see the food they celebrate you will want to go back sooner rather than later. A small menu but excellent... More

How lucky we were to discover this fabulous restaurant! (Thank you fellow tripadvisor reviewers) The Cellars is the very last thing one would expect to be nestled amongst a beautiful residential neighborhood. It is part of a lovely bed and breakfast. Ours was a memorable experience from the greeting at the door, to the brief wait at the bar to... More

I was looking for some place new to eat for our anniversary, boy did I make the right choice. The food was absolutely amazing. For our appetizer we had the cheese fondue, it was so smooth and the flavors blended together perfectly. My husband had the Ribeye which he said was delicious, he loved the barbecue flavored butter on top.... More

We have been to The Cellars both as a couple and with another couple. My sister and brother-in-law are hard to please but they found this restaurant excellent. Both times the food was impeccable and the service phenomenal. The menu is small but there is nothing small about the quality of their food. I love the atmosphere. It is located... More
