Dinner with friends

The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Service was excellent. I had dinner with friends who said this was the best Italian restaurant in the area. They were right. Great food, wonderful wine and outstanding service.

I do not get all the hype about this place, nothing really to write home about it, cannot say it was bad but not even great, to sum it up very pricey joint that serves all your American-Italian favs, did I mention it's expensive for what you get! For real authentic Italian that stands out and a great wine list... More

Everything was excellent. I was most impressed with the knowledge of our serverin all aspects, Mannino's own wine selection and the comfort of the setting. You get a five star dining experience in a comfortable setting. The She Crab soup is amazing and all the food was prepared in tradition "from scratch" Italian cuisine.

We had a mini getaway for my boyfriend's birthday, although we had a coupon from our hotel for a chain we have back home, we hopped on trip advisor, and saw this as #2! We love Italian food and decided to scope it out from downtown!! Worth the 3miles!! Exquisite made to order fresh food and homemade mozzarella! He had... More

We just wanted to try a local eatery, rather than going downtown. So, we consulted our crystal ball (Yelp.com), and up popped Mannino's with their glowing reviews. A special shout out to our server, Diane. We couldn't decide what to choose from (truly the the whole menu looked scrumptious), so she directed us - in her charming manner (in other... More

The meals are outstanding, the service is mostly excellent. We were there for dinner with extended family including small children and the staff was very accommodating. On separate occasions we have also been dining there with friends and are happy about the consistently excellent food.

I'm a New Yorker- and its not easy to find great Italian food in Virginia Beach. When I'm in the mood for Authentic Italian there is no place better than Mannino's. Its tucked away in a strip mall- but do not let the location fool you. This place is a hidden treasure- the food portions are huge, the presentation is... More

We only sampled a few dishes, but what we had was excellent. The she-crab soup was superb-loaded with crab and a nice smoky flavor that distinguished it from other crab soups I've had. also we had a scallop blt appetizer that was sensational. the scallops were incredibly fresh-just seared on the outside-almost like sushi. combined with the bacon and tomatoes... We have been here a few times over the last year or so. Last night by far was the best visit yet. Our server was Diane and she was awesome. The "Freakshow" wine she let us know about was epic. If you don't like this place or the staff then you won't be pleased at any place on earth. Thanks... More
