For down home cookin, Something Dffrent is fantastic

Every time I am in the Urbanna area to visit my family there, I take t group to Something Different. they absolutely have the very best fried oysters I've ever eaten anywhere, fancy or not. they don't overcook them, so they're still succulent. the batter is light. My daughter in law is a fan of... read more

Clearly a favorite of the locals, but I think they were having an off day on our visit. We stopped in for breakfast. We were seated immediately, but then waited about 20 min before ordering, and about 45 minutes before any food showed up. One might expect that if there were people lined up at the door, but the place... More

Definitely a fun place, great atmosphere with a good backstory, live music and top-notch service. The food itself, though, was seriously over-seasoned, so it's the strong-willed soul that can finish an entire portion. The signature Virginia Sandwich, a meat salad of ham and turkey, was mayo-rich and heavy. The Big Easy omelet with sausage, BBQ fillet and salsa was similarly... More

Our friends who live in Deltaville recommended this dinner spot to us. It was crowded when we arrived, but definitely worth the wait. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service was great. I recommend the soft shell crab sandwich and the mac & cheese. We will be back during the Urbanna Oyster Festival!

Visiting friends in Irvington, VA we all went out for lunch to Urbanna. My friend is a chef and knows food. This was her suggestion and it was excellent! They had a list of craft beers and not knowing what to select I had what she had...a dark brew with hints of bourbon...refreshing and very tasty. I started with a... More

Stopped in for a quick bite with a business partner. Clean. Food was good. Had wings, a salad and hoe cake. (gluten free). This was great! The vinegrette was homemade. The salad was unexpectedly good. The hoe cake...made my day. Don't miss that one!

This is not only the best Restaurant in Urbanna, but one of the best in Virginia. The only thing better than the friendly, family-like service, is the homemade food. Everything is made in-house. The She crab soup is the best I've ever had. Everything that comes off the smoker is amazing, with the smoked Turkey being my,favorite. I highly recommend... More

My husband and I ate breakfast here & it was delicious. I had french toast and country ham and hubby had an omelet with all kinds of stuff in it. I also purchased some wine, apple butter and jelly from the little store attached. I would highly recommend this place.

We were camping and ventured into town for fireworks during the 4th of July. We had a large group and expected to wait for a large enough table as this is a very small place. It was worth the wait. The staff is super friendly and the food was delicious. There was something to please everyone even the kids. We... More
