Great place, a little off the beaten path.

This restaurant was reviewed in the Washington post and we had to try it ourselves. The waitress recommended the tri-tip it was smokey and tender, did not want to share it, but did so I could try the Virginia sandwich, a mix of chicken and pork. Everything was flavorful and was so impressed we... read more

We visited for lunch. Everything was delicious! Excellent crab cake! The beignets were served hot with plenty of powdered sugar. Great service, as well.

We were staying 20 minutes away at a bed and breakfast for 3.5 days. After getting tired of paying high prices for seafood... We wanted a good comfort food and drink place. Recommended by some locals and glad we went. Loaded Onion ring and wings as app were great. Service was very friendly. Brisket sandwich was tasty. Just what we... More

Something Different has the best BBQ (my favorites are the Tri-tip with horseradish mustard and the brisket). The fries with mornay sauce are worth the calories! Onion rings..Yum! To top off the delicious homemade food, there is homemad ice cream. They have both regular and adult (alcohol) versions. The rum raisin and butter pecan in the waffle cone are delightful!... More

Food was excellent and the service was great. Everyone greeted us with a smile. Great place for breakfast and lunch. On vacation, stop by for an awesome Salmon Omelette.

My friend and I decided to get away from the city for a girls' weekend and we landed in Urbanna not really knowing what to expect. Everyone, literally, said to go to Something Different. So we did. And it was great fun! Everyone we met there was so friendly - the food was generous in portion (maybe too generous .... More

Something Different Restaurant catered our daughter’s wedding at nearby Hewick Plantation in June. This was a very challenging venue, requiring them to transport everything from their restaurant ready to go. Sarah Kimble (the owner/manager) and her daughter Taylor and their staff met this challenge with style and did a fantastic job! The food was delicious and the service was very... More

After a long day of visiting wineries and various shops, we ate at this cool place on a Sunday early evening. The brisket was fabulous! Very busy but the waitress was great. You have to try their adult ice cream! A unique, hometown restaurant that is worth a visit!

Our group of eight did not go here on Friday night as the live entertainment can be a bit loud. My wife and I did go on Saturday night, and we are very happy that we did so. We had checked earlier in the day and knew reservations were only made for groups of eight of more, so we arrived... More
