delicious lunch

It was a little crowded when we arrived around 1:00 for lunch. We were seated right away, but it took a little while for the waitress to come. She apologized since they were crowded, and we were ready to order. The food came out fairly quickly, we both had the soft shell crab sandwich on rye. Sides... read more

Cuban sandwich - super tasty, The molasses gingerbread cake is to die for ! We had four different sandwiches for lunch and two different ones for dinner - they make their own ice cream, rolls, desserts - all are yummy - Waitress was helpful describing the menu -

We visited Something Different after reading the Trip Advisor reviews and left a little disappointed. When we entered we were greeted by a very friendly hostess who seated us at a nice table by the front window. We noticed that the restaurant was very busy and the atmosphere and décor were both interesting and pleasant. Our waitress soon appeared to... More

Staff was very friendly, especially Charles and Jo the bartender, but most of the food was just OK. They do have great French toast. It was very convenient since we were staying across the street at the Chesapeake Inn. We were there on a Friday night and they had a singing duo called Fillmore was were good.

Something Different is worth a day trip to Urbanna. Family owned and operated with some of the best meats and sandwiches in a great eclectic country atmosphere. Their new location has a great bar. Much of the decor is repurposed due to the creative direction of Dan Gill...who we sorely miss. I highly recommend their Tri-tip. My son says they... More

The breakfast sandwiches are delicious. I suggest getting them on their house made buns. Very tasty. We also enjoyed the crab omelette ... Exceelent portion size and delicious food.

Clearly a favorite of the locals, but I think they were having an off day on our visit. We stopped in for breakfast. We were seated immediately, but then waited about 20 min before ordering, and about 45 minutes before any food showed up. One might expect that if there were people lined up at the door, but the place... More

Definitely a fun place, great atmosphere with a good backstory, live music and top-notch service. The food itself, though, was seriously over-seasoned, so it's the strong-willed soul that can finish an entire portion. The signature Virginia Sandwich, a meat salad of ham and turkey, was mayo-rich and heavy. The Big Easy omelet with sausage, BBQ fillet and salsa was similarly... More

Every time I am in the Urbanna area to visit my family there, I take t group to Something Different. they absolutely have the very best fried oysters I've ever eaten anywhere, fancy or not. they don't overcook them, so they're still succulent. the batter is light. My daughter in law is a fan of their beef brisket. Thy have... More
