We really enjoyed a great lunch at Hunter's Head on a glorious sunny afternoon. We shared a Shepherd's pie and Welsh Rarebit. Though that was plenty, we were taken by the dessert menu and split the sticky toffee and the apple dish. Everything we tried was very good.

Portions were generous and tasty, beers were good and staff were wonderful. Not gonna go more than a three, but I'd return and try something else. For an American pub it's quite nice. You order at "the bar" though that's normal still for many English pubs. For a place in Upperville prices were actually pretty good. We had the chicken... More

Unique setting. Be prepared for small quarters and "family" style seating. You order your food at the bar which is a bit unusual. The food was very good!

Brought out of town family here tonight. They honored an expired gift certificate. Very friendly and efficient service. Great braised veal in Yorkshire Pudding, liver & onions, and trout. Pork a bit over done. Sticky toffee pudding still a great dessert. Good pre-dinner cocktails and beer as well.

If you are traveling to this area, live in this area or even far away this is a wonderful little spot. It is a historic building filled with amazing food and a team of amazing people. The menu has just about everything "comfort" on it with a little legend to let you know if it is "locally grown", "good for... More

We had dinner here last night. After a long day of winery visits, we wanted some simple good food. This turned out to be just the right spot. Two of us had tasty french dip sandwiches with good fries, one of us had a good chicken pot pie and the fourth had a steak and mashed potatoes. It's unusual in... More

Upon pulling in the car park, one is greeted by an authentic phone box which sets the tone for the dining experience. There is a covered, heated outside area if you choose this option or once inside this rustic building you are informed how the pub style ordering works. It was so difficult to choose that we made several trips... More

We stopped by this historical tavern for lunch while visiting in VA. It is located in a quiet little historic town in VA. The history to this place is amazing, as is all history on the east coast of this country. The food was quiet good and there is a large selection of beverages offered. It is like the European... This is the perfect lunch venue while touring the area. The food is tasty and very moderately priced. The 2 interior dining rooms provide some of the warmest ambiance to be found, and the large outside patio is fully sheltered and pet friendly.
