Good Thai, one of the best nearby!

Located in a strip mall, the unassuming appearance hides very good Thai food. I like the Pad Thai, a nice, safe, meal, and the Tom Yum is excellent!

The very casual and unassuming restaurant is located in a strip mall on Leesburg Pike in Tyson s corner in Virginia. I ordered the Pad Thai which was nothing special. I have eaten much better tasting Pad thai elsewhere in Virginia. The noodles were extremely dry. The dumplings were dry and the casing was dry and doughy. The Tom Yum... More

Thai Pilin serves ok Thai food very quickly. It's fine for a speedy meal on the go put don't expect a superlative experience. The chicken fried rice is very tasty and the eggplant dishes and pad thai are decent. The decor is simple and restroom needs work. My eggplant dish had miniscule amounts of thai basil and an overly sweet... More

First visit to this place and I eat Thai regularly. I had the chicken chili basil and it was excellent. Only white rice no brown rice which is usual for the traditional places. The decor is nothing impressive so it's not a date night for anyone over 25 but the food looks solid. I saw some complaints on portion size... More

For years Pilin at Tysons Corner and Pilin in Falls Church have been our favorite Thai restaurant. The Pad Thai, Chicken Fried Rice, Tom Kha Gai, Curries, Pad Phrik Khing, Pad Khing and Sticky Rice with Mango are some of the dishes we prefer here over any other Thai restaurant. Service at the restaurants is very friendly. The interior of... More

When I came on TripAdvisor to find this restaurant I was blown away that there were positive reviews! I had the Chef Specialty Chicken Basil Chicken and my wife had the sweet and sour chicken. Both of ours were fried chicken nuggets in sauce (OVER fried nuggets) My wife's chicken was dredged in duck sauce with canned pineapples. After being... More

Oldest Thai restaurant in Tysons Corner. The menu has not been changed quite a while. If you are in the middle of shopping and got hungry, I strongly recommend. The ambiance is not as good as the other similar restaurants, but friendly service will make you happy. Limited outdoor dining if the weather permits.

We were visiting my parents and they suggested that we eat here because it was their favorite Thai place. We had the chicken satay and dumplings for appetizers. For the main course, we split the Pad Thai, the Shrimp Pad Thai and the crispy basil chicken. We all enjoyed the food, it was very good and they spiced it to... More

This is another place I’ve patronized regularly for close to two decades. And for good reason. Thai Pilin on Rte 7 in Tyson’s Corner, crammed into a large strip mall, serves up some of the best Thai cuisine I’ve had outside of Bangkok. Atmosphere is minimalist. Walk in, wait in line (and some days at lunchtime, the line stretches out... More

Consistently good Thai food at a reasonable price. My wife loves their Pad Thai (spiced just right) and I've yet to be disappointed when I sample various items on the menu. Not much for atmosphere. It's in a strip mall with about ten tables. While I hear it's usually full with the business crowd during the week, we had no... More
