Description: Situated in one of the most coveted living and commercial areas in the US,...
Situated in one of the most coveted living and commercial areas in the US, this Art Deco-inspired roadhouse stands atop a bluff above the crossroads connecting Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. With four dining rooms, two kitchens and balconies overlooking live palm trees, Clyde's of Tysons Corner sets a new standard for Clyde's. From it's first day in operation, it has drawn a huge crowd of international and residential visitors including: business people and shoppers to nearby families and Wolf Trap audiences. With decor and furnishings that invite guests to dine amidst the glory days of Art Deco, the only thing that might top the varied and extensive menu is the elaborate and sophisticated atmosphere.

Home town feel

A small chain, Clyde's has a small town, local eats feel. Eat at the bar or at a table. The food and service are always very good.

For our starter, we liked the Steamed Cape Cod Mussels. While we both enjoyed the January Special Crab Cakes, they were smaller than expected despite the "Jumbo" in the title. And Sunday evenings are nice because of the half-priced bottles of wine (there a few exceptions, but many fine choices), we had an excellent chardonnay. The Clyde's Brownie Sundae was... More

Great happy hour. Good drink selection. Wide variety of discount food selection. More than just appetizers on the happy hour menu, you can make it a full meal. Burgers are great. Huge bar and surrounding area. Perfect venue to wrap up the day.

This is a great place to dine, and for business. They also have private table areas for serious business. The food quality and service have always been superb. The location isn't as easy as the mall areas for mass transit, but there's plenty of parking if you need to arrive in multiple cars.

The hostess did not greet us with the expect friendly behavior. The room we were seated in was somewhere around 60 degrees. It never got warmer. The wait staff said indicated the room had been cold all day. They were very stingy with the bread and when we asked for some more bread two small slices were set on the... More

Went for their January special, crab cakes. Had the clam chowder as a starter. Lukewarm and the consistency of library paste, but would have tasted good if served hot. The crab cakes were not tasty, in fact they had no seasoning that I could detect and were also served room temperature. They had some nice lumps of crab, but mostly... More

We decided against Clyde's (famous) cheeseburgers for celebratory lunch. The results were mixed. Crab tower appetizer and Caesar salad were excellent. Fried trout entree was good but not special (cooked to a hard shell) and beef stew with vegetables was boring, old-school, bordering on canned product. This is not a low-budget restaurant, $15 lunch entrees, and should be better. Service... More

Came here for lunch on the way to Pittsburgh. The menu is diverse and everyone was happy with their selections. The beer list is extensive and they have a number of specialty cocktails, mimosas and sangrias. Fairly laid back given the location in the heart of Tyson's.

This long time Tyson's restaurant is part of a local chain, but has consistently good food and service. They are a bit tucked away in Tyson's, but easy to access with plenty of free parking.
