Both Michele and Entyse were "closed" during our stay at the Ritz-Carlton. Michele was closed due to vacation/holiday and Entyse was currently being renovated. Entyse had been temporarily moved to "The Old Dominion Room" which served as the hotel's restaurant during renovations. The Old Dominion Room was quite large and open, however there were some tables that seemed to be... More

First of all, it's located in a hotel, so that can sometimes be a clue. Not that there aren't some fine restaurants in hotels, but it always makes me wary. Even the location in the Ritz-Carlton can't exempt a restaurant from criticism. Secondly, let me say that the service was quite good. It was the only part of the meal... More

We ate dinner at Michel and enjoyed the following items: Goat cheese Caesar salad with avocado-The fresh lettuce with creamy goat cheese and chopped avocados was a fresh starter that we thoroughly enjoyed. Cheese puffs-I would describe these as small light, airy, dough balls with cheese on the outside. Very easy to develop hand to mouth syndrome with these. Braised... More

First off, a confession - I have been a fan of Michel Richard's cooking for thirty years, back to his days at the long-gone Citrus Restaurant in LA. Having said that, I was a bit disappointed with Citronelle in Georgetown, but very happy to see him open Central in downtown DC (one of our favorites). So I was eager to... More

We were first seated next to a table of very loud patrons. The hostess quickly moved us to a better table. The food was generally good and innovative. I would eat there again if in town.

Replacing the famed Maestro overseen by Fabio Trabocchi is not just difficult; it's impossible, but if any chef could come close, certainly it would be Michel Richard. Or so one would think. Wrong! In fact, waaaay wrong. To celebrate a birthday, a graduation, and the start of a new life episode, my wife, daughter, and I went to the restaurant... More

The food is very good. The service is top notch. They have a bar with a piano player performing on week days if you're into that.
