I Had a large family celebration at Chima Resturant in Tyson's Cornor. Chima is a Great place for large family events. The restaurant was very accommodating when making reservations as I had to change number of guests several times. The hostess never made me feel like I was an inconvenience. Loved the restaurant decor and environment. We had to wait... More

Had recently dined for the 1st time at the Philadelphia location and enjoyed it. While in the DC area, decided to check out this location.. Wow! Quite a noticeably different dining experience.. I would consider this location to be top notch about the Philadelphia location.. The food, The ambiance, The service, The decor.. Even the complimentary valet parking.. Wonderful dining... More

If you're into buffets, this is for you. If you don't mind lots of interruptions, this is for you. If you don't mind straining to hear the waiters (noise level and broken English), this is for you. All you can eat buffet and waiters continually making rounds serving various types of meat. The steak isn't the high quality of area... More

I don't have a lot of experience with Brazilian Steakhouses, I've been to only one other such place "Fogo-del-Chao" in Baltimore. So, I'll try to compare them as well as give my impressions. First off, I found Chima more like an upscale family buffet. May be it was because of a suburban location (as opposed to "Fogo"), but there were... More

This is a restaurant for people who value quantity over quality. Yes, you can eat all you want. The meats keep coming and the salad bar is endless. But the meat is much lower quality than anything you would get a decent steakhouse. The filet mignon was tender but tasteless; the lamb chops and leg of lamb were tough and... More

When we are feeling extra hungry, and maybe have something to celebrate (oh, like maybe it's Tuesday lol) then we drive a bit out of our way to this place. :) There is another 'similar' restaurant closer to us, but it is nowhere near as good. Of course for many of you reading this, it's probably close by. The service... More

Paid $160 for two people including wine and dessert. Cold, rainy, Wednesday night and the place was packed. The food taste was great and is what you would expect; and we didn't leave hungry. The manager came by our table and chatted, which was a nice touch. The wait staff was very friendly and quick. VERY loud restaurant, so I... More

This Brazilian steakhouse is fun, and generous in its portions--since they are apparently endless. One starts with a great salad bar that is imaginative (ranging from yucca flour to gorgonzola mousse to carpaccio) then, when ready for the main course, simply turning over a card at one's setting. This signals to the "gaucho" servers to start stopping at your table... More

I've been to many Brazilian steakhouses and chima is my favorite. The staff is very friendly and will get you whatever you need. The meat just keeps coming and it's all fresh, flavorful and delicious. Will definitely return soon!
