Pros: Chicken salad good as was tea Cons: Could not light fireplace because "owner was not there" My wooden plate had a large chunk of it missing I had a bunch of grapes as a side--only 3 on a vine with other grapes missing The water tasted bitter I have been coming here for years and this was a first.

A perfect little out of the way cabin that has a nice rustic atmosphere and great tea. We both had their chicken salad, my spouse had hers warm in a loaf of fresh bread, I had mine cold with a piping hot loaf of fresh baked bread. Both come with either a vinigarette or honey dipping sauce. Two different chicken... More

I traveled over an hour to see this place last weekend. When we got there you couldn't park near the building. There is no handicap access or parking. The overflow traffic is routed to another business behind the building with no instructions where to go when you get there. That business is totally unrelated to the tea house - a... More

My friend & I had lunch at 11:30 at this charming restaurant. I called for reservations this AM & was able to get a table. Their menu offers chicken salad, artichoke/chicken salad, sandwiches on bagels, smeres on bagels, & an extensive tea selection. Their iced teas are also tasty. Their servings are average. I also ordered a fruit cup which... More

This is a little restaurant in a cabin that is over 100 years old. It has a very limited menu but worth it when you go in with friends to sit at have some hot tea and a bagel or warm chicken salad (homemade). It also has a knick knack shop.

They have excellent food but it is a very small place and thus the tiny menu. There are very few tables, probably less that eight. It is a great place for a tea room atmosphere.

FANTASTIC, but if going on a Saturday, make sure to make a reservation. It is a very small, quaint restaurant, so you need to call ahead. Both the hot and cold chicken salad is beyond amazing served with freshly baked, hot bread and a delicious vinaigrette dipping sauce on the side (you can get honey if you'd prefer). They have... We've been to the White Oak Tea Tavern several times and it never disappoints (and I'm not even a big tea fan). It's located on Route 220 outside Daleville, VA in a beautiful log cabin. I suggest reservations as they don't have a lot of seating. They offer a warm chicken salad with spinach and artichoke hearts in hollowed out... More
